Is this the twilight zone or do we actually have a real safety competition(s) where we don't know who will win the starting jobs?

Odd are Kazee and Hooker will run into each other and injure one another but until then we have a competition.

Well it sure would be nice if he gets healthy and becomes the player he's capable of.

I'm extremely doubtful but there have been successful reclamation projects in the past, so who knows.

Who do you think wins the starting FS job... Hooker or Kazee? I don't know these guys well enough to know who has the best upside.

umm fact both WILL make the team, who starts and where will be decided before game 1 :) Kazee, hooker, wilson ,others

nice issues to have we have competitions throughout all of the DBS not just Safety but the CB have some stiff comp between vets, mid range youngins, and rooks...

heck if you read all these headlines where the DL/DT group also have great camps so far..

not sure what to believe but something's in the water because if half is true,

our defense will be headed to at minimum 15th from the cellar..that would be a miracle!

I'm excited about the Cowboys adding Malik Hooker, he has instincts around the football, and has increased the ceiling and potential at the safety position. Hoping that we see evidence on the field, evidence that throwing into our secondary coverage is a risk of getting a turnover.

This was the weirdest signing I've seen around here in awhile. Came in the first time without getting a deal done...goes to other teams just for months later to be brought up out of nowhere....then we hear they like him and he's in Dallas but no done deal. This the first time I saw a player show up to camp and be signed all at the same time....I mean even Risen hasn't made a post about it lol.

Has the scent of a guy who thought he could get a massive contract, and after shopping around a bit he realized the market for an annually-injured S just isn't that strong. I like the signing, but there isn't a chance I'm okay with anything more than a 1-year rental. ACL,MCL, and achilles? He's gonna need Oscar Pistorious legs in another 2-3 years.

Quinn's scheme forces receivers to the middle of the field. Right to Hooker, Wilson, Kazee and/or Neal.

I dont know if that make me happy or terrified.
