More overreaction.

it’s not overreacting it’s understanding that the offense needs a functioning qb to get the most out of training camp. If dak misses two weeks and we have no backup then our guys are going to be behind and it will have a waterfall effect.

hope I’m wrong but not having a legit backup makes dak being out for any period that much hard on the offensives development during training camp

I disagree.....remember he missed the last 12 games, so it's been almost year since his arm/shoulder has done any significant work. Let him rest until the 3rd preseason game, he/offense will be fine.

that’s fine but then they need a backup to at least keep the offense functioning during tc…I don’t know about you but I don’t have faith in our current backups, I could be incorrect though…

If "everything's fine" he would be practicing. He, more so then most guys on the team, actually needs these reps since he hasn't done his job since Week 4 of last season. Which leads me, and anybody else that can read through the lines, to believe that everything is not as fine as they make it sound.

If everything is in fact fine and he's just not practicing, then we have a new issues on our hand. That issue would be one of entitlement, comfort, and feeling as though your true goal (getting paid) has been accomplished.

I do not believe Dak is that type of person, but then again, getting your ankle snapped, doing all that rehab, and then getting a massive contract can probably change your outlook on things. Everyone isn't made with the mindset of a Tom Brady. Everyone doesn't have that level of competitiveness drive. Dak might be satisfied, he'd NEVER say that, but that doesn't mean he don't feel it.

I read they would hold him out two weeks which takes through the majority of camp, did you not see that? That’s why I made the comment

I didn’t see that in the article in the OP— just double-checked. Dak just said he’s playing it safe, doesn’t want to make it worse, and is day to day

betting we start hearing about backuop qb revisiting for real #2 after all 3 placeholder throwing multiple picks in practice LOL

i mean if daks hangnail holds him out too long we need real backup..

Not only did he play through it, he won a super bowl.
Because he is a REAL leader of men. Being everybody's buddy doesn't make you a leader, like most here think that because Dak is liked by his teammates he's a leader, that's just not always the case.

The players loved Jason Garrett too, Dak included, but you don't see anybody calling him a leader.

Brady is willing to get up in peoples faces and chew you out. Aikman was the same way. That's a real leader. Patting them on the head and saying "we'll get em next time" is not leadership, its enabling poor play because there's no fear of consequences.

Dak Prescott (shoulder) could miss a couple of weeks — raising concerns for Cowboys’ backup QBs
The Cowboys didn’t aggressively pursue another veteran quarterback in the offseason.
his is from the DMN...

Seems I remember Stephen saying they were looking to add another couple of players to the room.

If it was fine he'd be practicing, bottom line.
Wrong. Players are often held out of practice this time of year simply to rest a minor injury. Also, veterans are given days off just because they’re veterans. Are you new to this?

So from a different article than the OP correct?

He would be out there if he was still trying to get a contract. Little aches and pains become a little more tolerable when there's a huge incentive waiting at the end of your efforts. Funny how that works.
Just like you're always rattling off. I wonder what your incentive is for?
