I still go back to what was the #1 problem with this defense? The run game. Show me the CB that solves that.

This is a guy playing the most exalted position at Penn State and he sets the freshman record for tackles and then leads the team the next season not being a starter in most games.

The Cowboys had needs at CB, DT, LB and S but the overriding need was to stop the run and no CB is going to fix that.

I think it turned out great with parsons and getting Joseph in the 2nd

Is that what people think? That has to be naive fans.....in the NFL its rare a team comes right in and steals a guy from under you. Not saying it doesn't happen but it doesn't happen nearly as much as fans say. If the Cowboys wanted a player they would've traded up to get him. Its why teams trade up to begin with. These GM's and teams all talk to each other....they know when they need to trade up for a talent.

Huh? Numerous Cowboy draft boards have been leaked. We saw them. The Jaguars draft board was accidentally leaked. I posted the thread here with pictures.

My wife knows she wasn’t my first choice. She knows who my first choice was. She knows the person and the story behind that. My wife is probably much better than my first choice would have been.

I am pretty sure I was not my wife’s first choice either.

Does it bother me not being my wife’s first choice? Not at all. Does it bother my wife? Don’t really know. Nothing any of us can do about it.

Jaylon is toast, they should have "watched the tape" before the draft. Conversely, we would have broadcast to the world our interest in Parsons, then traded up to get him.

This shows their draft process is flawed.

A flawed draft process is one which chooses Whiteside-Ortega over Metcalf, Reagor over Jefferson, Wentz over Prescott.

The Cowboys have been having very good drafts overall. Go look at my thread on the 2018 Cowboy draft 3 years later. What is the flaw in the 2020 draft?

It’s not a reach to take players who many had ranked higher than parsons especially if it fills a need
Personally I wanted parsons all along but felt they would go CB because they had similar rankings and it was a huge need
In the end it worked out perfectly
We got a great prospect and an extra pick

Pick for him still haunts us. Gregory as a 2nd round risk still hasn’t paid dividends. Tristian 2 Nd round pick still waiting. The list goes on.

And the one 1st round pick we kinda hit on with Jones we let go.
