Actually ground troops are still trained on the utilization of what is now referred to as fighting holes, a modern equivalent of foxholes as foxholes were based on defensive line positions which do not apply as much in modern times.
Less and less these days. It’s hard to even get an e-tool. Foxholes haven’t been used since Nam.

I don't think it really matters. Just score when the game is on the line!

We are incredibly predictable in the red-zone. Have been since Garrett. The only reason we were good with Romo was because Dez was a red-zone nightmare for every team. I hope Moore comes up with some more underneath stuff, and screens. Our new 88 needs to be a showcase here too. At the end of the day some of this falls on play calling, but I absolutely hold him accountable here too.

Even though Dez was a monster in the red zone it was frustrating watching the team continue to force the ball to him and not run.

Romo commented during a telecast his first year broadcasting that he would pass sometimes even when the defensive look said to run, then he would play dumb when Murray would ask him about it on the sidelines. Said it was a good way to pad the TD state.

Brady threw for less yards than Dak did.

And New England scored more points.

Brady threw 1 more touchdown, 1 less interception, and had a higher QBR for the game. But you keep hanging your hat on the fact that Dak threw for 22 more yards in that loss. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

Cobb and Jarwin both fumbled..

And they both recovered their own fumbles so they weren't even turnovers. The only Cowboys turnover that game was Dak's interception that directly led to a field goal for NE. And since we are going that route New England had five drops that day (3 more than Dallas).

Dallas VS Green Bay Defensive Rankings Points Given Up By Season

Dallas

2016: 5th
2017: 13th
2018: 6th
2019: 11th
2020: 28th

Green Bay

2016: 21st
2017: 26th
2018: 22nd
2019: 9th
2020: 13th

With the exception of 2020, Dallas' defense was ranked in the Top 6 twice and Top 13 twice in terms of defensive scoring allowed. Green Bay on the other hand was Top 10 once and Top 13 once with the other 3 seasons being between 21st-26th ranked.......yet in 3 of those 5 seasons Green Bay made it to the playoffs and lost in the Conference Championship game whereas Dallas could only manage to make it to the playoffs in 2 of the 5 seasons and never got to the Conference Championship.

So was it really the defense or was it the ability of Aaron Rodgers to elevate the team to a higher level??????

Could you imagine the excuses they would make for Dak if the Cowboys defense gave up 31 points to a rookie QB in the divisional round of the playoffs the same way Rodgers defense did against Dallas in 2016?

Rodgers don't need excuses made for him though, because he is good enough to over come a bad defensive performance and still push his team to win the game.

He is a "Franchise" QB and can carry his team to victory.
Can you fathom that Dak's paycheck is bigger than Rodgers......Only in Jerry's world baby!!!

Dak Haters once again moving the Goal Post.........Aaron Rodgers Superbowl win came with the Green Packers Defense Rankings Points 2nd Overall

@USArmyVet your argument is weak especially since Aaron Rodgers has been asking for help from the Front Office .....Isn't Aaron Rodgers supposed ELEVATE the team to a higher level.

Did Aaron Rodgers ELEVATE Charles Woodson's led defense to Packers SuperBowl Victory?

See Below:

Daks First 5 Years as Starter - Defensive Ranking Points

2016: 5th - Defense got Better - Dak "led" the team to play-offs | lost division

2017: 13th - Defense got Worse

2018: 6th - Defense got Better - Dak "led" the team to play-offs | lost division

2019: 11th - Defense got Worse

2020: 28th - Historically BAD and Andy Dalton Never Carried anything

Rodgers First 5 Years as Starter (After Favre Left)- Defensive Ranking Points

2008: 22nd - Aaron DID NOT CARRY TEAM

2009: 7th - Defense got better, Aaron led team to the play-offs | lost in Wildcard

2010: 2nd - Defense was the Best lead by Charles Woodson, Aaron "led" team to a Superbowl Win

2011: 19th - Defense got Worse and Aaron led the team to the play-offs | lost in division

2012: 11th - Defense got Better and Aaron led the team to the play-offs | lost in division

Indeed it was. Dez had his areas of opportunity, but was always one of the best at pulling down 50/50 balls. Almost unstoppable.
