La’el Collins suspended

hang on, news is coming out fast

THAT MAKES SENSE , it did not make sense for this to come out all of a sudden and with no reasons attached.

I also noticed jerry looked bummed out at the game last nite, pretty much every time they showed him, so I think he knew about this and it was coming.

So just ignore it till it is official and we have the reasons.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media has said that it’s his understanding that Collins was suspended for missing drug tests. “Essentially, failure to appear,” Rapoport tweeted.

However, the policy does not permit a suspension for mere “failure to appear.” The language adopted in 2020 allows a suspension only for a fourth or subsequent instance of “failure to cooperate with testing or clinical care.”

An arbitrator has ruled against Collins, but Schaffer has filed another appeal.
Sounds like the arbitrator and the NFL are refusing to honor their 2020 rules change!

La'El and his lawyers should be able to win this in court. The only issue is how long would it take to get this case in court, his suspension lifted and reimbursed for wrongful punishment?

this is fishy as the cowboys should know if he missed one test, and do something about it.
I will wait till it is official, not twitter speculation.

This is more proof of how Goodell, the NFL and their crooked referees have it in for Jerry and the Cowboys!

Bunch of biased, crooked rats!!

Chargers, Eagles, Panthers, and Giants. Is that enough?
His rights have been violated? So, you think the League just flippantly suspended him for 5 games?

When a arbitrator is involved and rules against you.... its a sign of more than 1 missed test..and more problems than we know...Seems like Collins knew this was coming...

We learned in the Elliott case, the NFL has wide latitude here even with the rule changes. Don't be surprised to see this thing end up going the way of Elliott and Collins eventually serving his time.

Possibly but I am curious to know what exactly Collins agent is talking about when he said the league was disingenuous in how they presented the case to the arbitrator.

And who was the arbitrator? Someone from the league? LOL.

The 2020 rules change says a player needs to refuse 4 or more drug tests before it becomes a rules violation. I find it hard to believe La'El would have refused to take a drug test at least 4 times. Even his team of lawyers are appealing this punishment and how the NFL was so quick to leak it out to the public. I seriously doubt any group of lawyers would waste any time or money appealing any punishment if they felt they didn't have a case.

The arbitrator reports to Goodell

I would think if it was disingenuous, the NFLPA would be getting involved......and they have been silent.....makes you wonder why....

Was a union rep for 20 years Goodell would have threatened to kill me by now or at least try to have me arrested

Gee, that would be great for the idiot but what happens, if the Cowboys go 0-4 while he's out? How do you reimburse the Cowboys lost freakin season?

He probably took some H.G.H to recover from his off-season hip surgery. Sacrifice, half the season to save his career.

A failure to report for a drug test is, basically, being irresponsible.
All guessing aside, there was probably something to hide!

Veterans like La'el are responsible for obeying the rules. Dumb.
