For once I agree with Zeke...they weren't running on TB anyways. Martin was out and that's the best part of their D. The Offensive gameplan was pretty perfect IMO. Brady just well Brady'ed us....it is what it is.

People put themselves in MUCH LESS danger for MUCH LESS money than what Zeke is doing. Let's not act like he's some kind of hero or something because he's a padded guy blocking other padded guys playing a game.

I am not acting like he's anything.. You are.. You are the one who implied that he doesn't care about anything and you dodged the question.. Do you believe he would prefer to be carrying the football and getting the glory or getting run over by 300 pound men so that someone else can get the glory?

I see what you're saying.

Nobody gets the glory when you lose though. I like Zeke and always have. I guess I'm putting more criticism on him when it should be more focused towards Moore instead. Zeke did what he was asked, so I can't be mad at that.

The gameplan was good.. I would not call it perfect because they clearly did not have a good plan for what to do once they got into the red zone. Fix that and then you're talkin.

I get. Zeke is a great blocker and we're lucky to have a RB that can block as well as him, but he's being paid to a good runner of the football. If we wanted another blocker than we could have used his money for offensive line help.

It just seems like we have the most sensitive group of guys in the NFL. It seems they're babied so much within the organization that any bit of outside criticism just hurts them to the core.
Last year....a cluster ship show at qb and o line. This year one game where he followed the plan.

But so many call him washed up and overpaid. Stupid.

Pretty much. Lets see what happens now with Martin back. To be honest. I am putting McGovern next to Tyron and running left everytime.

I think it is more we have the most whiniest fans for any sports franchise in history.

Then we have a meeting of the minds.. Zeke is a football player through and through. I like that he doesn't b1tgh about touches like so many other "stars" have. He wants to win and he wants to be a good teammate. He's kinda like Dez because if you recall Dez famously said he'd be happy with 2 catches as long as we win and miserable with 10 catches in a loss. I think Zeke is the same way. He has shown himself to be completely disinterested in his own stats.. He just wants to win. Run, catch, block whatever it takes to help the team win. Yes he wants the ball.. but that's because he believes he can help the team win THE MOST by running the ball. I'm not sure he's wrong. For as long as I have followed the Cowboys the better they've run the ball the more they've won. I know the new NFL is pass happy as hell but teams that run the ball well still make up 80% of playoff teams. Maybe that trend changes over the next several years but I need to see multiple years of good running teams not making the playoffs before I buy into that completely.

Belichick would have never paid Zeke all that money when a RB is not worth it.

He never would have drafted him over Ramsey in the first place. Just shows how clueless Jerry is.

That said, Zeke did the job he was asked to do given the game plan, not sure what people are crying about he will get his touches.

Wake me when Ramsey leads HIS team to a Super Bowl title. The Zeke vs Ramsey debate was about immediate impact vs longevity. There is little doubt that Ramsey will have the longer career but Zeke had the greater immediate impact. I mean Ramsey was so wonderful for JAX that they had to get rid of him... and frankly I think it's just matter of time before he wears out his welcome in LA. Zeke would probably STILL be having a greater impact if Kellen Moore wasn't calling the plays. If Jerry is to be criticized for anything, it's signing a 90 million dollar running back and pairing him with a Kliff Kingsbury wannabe..

It was 1 game, really? Cowboys have seldom used Zeke as a blocker but this past game they did. People making an issue of not running last game vs a top run defense without Martin in the lineup. I think some are just looking for anything they complain about. Fact is the offense was productive last week and now with Chargers next I do expect Zeke to see the ball quite a bit in the run game as LA Chargers run defense is not near as stout as that of Tampa. People make way too much over 1 game and act like well that is the norm for this season, BS it was the game plan Dallas put in place vs Tampa and they will put in a plan vs LA this week that will be different.

:clap::clap:It's just a few but it's their MO, from thread to thread .........

Elliott is correct about how they played the game in TB and what TB was not going to allow them to do, run the ball. They forced Prescott to check out of almost half the run plays called because Arians and Bowles knew the Cowboys had to protect that defense and keep it on the sideline and we saw what happened when they couldn't and the Cowboys dominated TOP in that game. The game has shifted from TOP to POP, Points Off Possessions, and coaches could care less about controlling the clock.

TB is also a smart defense and knew the best run blocker was out and Arians knows the worst thing that can happen to a defense is to have the other team run the ball on you. We know from last season that experience.

I don't know if everyone is aware but Elliott is one smart guy. He could have gone to college on an academic scholarship but chose athletics and OSU but he is not some dumb jock.

A lot of RB's would have been frustrated with his role in TB but he handled it not only well but admirably from a teammate standpoint. He's only speaking out because of the ignorant criticism aimed his way by the worst local collection of sports reporters in the league.

Ya know, some still have it in for him for that hold out and fat contract when you would have done the same thing or should have if you were smart enough.

Stop faulting the players for their pay and put your anger where is belongs, those signing the checks. And any player that doesn't go to the wall up against this team for his money is a fool. They fold too easily and every agent knows that.

I find the paycheck envy extremely distasteful. If people don't recognize that these guys are every bit entertainers as Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Garth Brooks, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Carrot Top (just seein if yall are payin attention) et al and that they are paid as entertainers.. Hell by most highly paid entertainer standards they are underpaid. If people truly want the paychecks to shrink.. quit watching.. quit buying tickets and merch.. Then and only then will the revenue come down and with it the size of the paychecks yall complain about so much. If you're not willing to do those things then please just shut the hell up.
