Just a high schooler, was a running back, cornerback, kick returner, actually played on every team, gunner on punts.

People try so hard to try and make football out to be some complex deal, when it really isn;t that is why little kids play it.

All that cover 2 and......who can't figure all that out in like 30 minutes? Now being good at chess takes time.

Take a guy who can run a 4,4 and he can play cornerback.
in high school there are a lot of players that play both ways....its just that a better athelete in highschool overcomes many deficiencies...in college it becomes harder and most committ to one position or the other....and in NFL its almost unprededented unless they are a generational athelete like Deion.

there is a lot that goes into being a DB than just line up and follow the guy in front of you...that's high school....

playing football at NFL level is complex.....just like any other professional sport.

and if you think it can be learned in 30 minutes, then sorry, you really don't understand the game.....

and there has been a lot of guys who have 4.3 or 4.4 speed and they weren't good at WR or couldn't be converted to DB...if that was the case, it would have been done in the NFL 1000 times....the fact that it hasn't, should tell you a lot.

in college....they were converted in college and mainly because in high school there are a lot of 2 way players...in college 99.999% stick to one position....

in the NFL I don't recall any Wr changing positions to a CB or a CB changing positions to a WR on a fulltime basis.
I think it has happened a few times been a while though Was saying we have 2 players that were converts in Collège In H/S I played several positions in every game mainly TE and DE plus I was the punter and backup kicker

Well damm, that theory explains why Anthony Brown who runs a 4.3 has never, not once, allowed a reception his whole career!!!!

Trust me definately understand the game, no it's not all that complex, if you think it is then you don't understand football.

Not a lot of DB's out of Harvard, Vandy, Yale out there.

Unless a guy has 4,4ish jets he will simply be out ran by those who do. Speed a must for a cornerback, just like 300 pounds a must for an NFL O lineman.

Wow complex

Cover 3 defense football
Cover 3 is a zone defense with corners and safeties protecting the deep thirds of the field. Each sideline is covered by the corners and the middle of the field by the safety. That leaves four defenders to cover the underneath zones.Jul 26, 2021

I think Noah could put on about 15 pounds or so and play TE as he is already a good blocker....as a WR he has a tough time getting separation.
That he could probably do
I think he’s actually lighter this year
But he is a good blocker and could probably help there if needed
But CB?
Not a chance

Lol, there are plenty of players who made a career for themselves in both zone and man who ran 4.5s. There are countless players who ran 4.4 and lower who never made it out of camp. The theory you can just throw someone who runs sub 4.4 out there and they’ll be able to function is just silly!

Ok man 4,5 point,....need speed, ok guy? Sheesh!

There is nothing hard to figure out when it comes to football, if there was we wouldn;t see so many playing it.

I played cornerback, not all that at all. The key is speed, if you can run with WR's no problems.
What team did you play for? What scheme did they run? Did they stay in the shell or just show and stick to 2 or 3 or 4 or 6 or 8? Where did they line you up for 2, inside or outside? Did you roll to trips side or switch to man? Did you have a spot drop? NFL offenses regularly eat up corners because it takes way more than just speed.

The first thing ya look for in a cornerbacks is speed. Can he run is the bottom line.

Al that other stuff means nothing.

As pointed out already, that must be why Anthony Brown is on the way to the Hall of Fame. All that other stuff is covered in high school. It gets way more complex. But alas as the old saying goes, we can't know what we don't know. Probably just best to assume we know everything

Cowboys did that with Steve Wilson in the late 70s, had a decent career with Cowboys and Broncos.

it is a totally different position, different play, different skills. if they were in college, maybe you try, but in the NFL. it just doesn't work. there is so much to know for each position starting from foot placement and hips and your tilt....all the way in how you change directions, which foot you pivot off of, etc......
No kidding LOL it’s a different position. But a lot of it is the same skill set.Dion Sanders. But he went the opposite way. Why can’t someone do the same thing vice a versa. Never say never

Just seen too much football to go along with it being this complex ordeal when I know it really isn't, if you need to think it is have at it.

Alabama would beat Vandy regardless of what defense they ran, it just wouldn't matter. The teams with the best players is what matters.

Those 60's Packers had nine Hall of Famers, those 70's Steelers nine Hall of Famers, those 80's Niners Walsh and Montana, Cowboys Jimmy/Troy/Emmitt/Michael, the Pats Bill and Tom. that is what wins in the NFL.

Cover two, is hard to fathom, really?
