No they do not.
With Parsons playing DE, it meant Smith and Vanderech were the I side backers most of the game - and were horrible.

I'll take an elite pass rusher over an elite backer all day everyday, especially on Sunday

To be perfectly honest the Chargers pretty much gave the game away with all the penalties. It cost them at least 10 points.
Penalties and TO's. They were pretty much the early season 2020 Cowboys today

They were controlling the ball the entire second half we only had the ball once in the third quarter. They had a TD called back because of a penalty. They made plays down the field that were called back because of penalties. They beat themselves.
Hey, if you can't get behind a Cowboys win then just go out back and pound sand. You obviously don't understand how tough it is to win in the NFL. These players are the best of the best in the ENTIRE WORLD. The difference between teams is not much. To make excuses for San Diego losing just reeks of pathetic fandom.

Dak isn’t throwing anywhere close to 400 yards if a team plays that much zone. He’s an average QB, if not for the threat of the RG that was gaining yardage against the zone as well, which would naturally force another man in the box. The outside runs by Pollard against the zone were big.

Dak doesn’t take risks against it.

I have no idea why teams continue to give us so much man looks, but I expect teams, start playing plenty of what the Chargers did. Why expose your DBs against our WRs that much.

If our defense didn’t hold down the fort, we taking Ls all day. I won’t blame the refs, because the calls were garbage on both sides.

Unlike us, San Diego basically relied way too much on Herbert’s arm without trying to run the ball until the end. And we played zone all day.

But overall a win is a win.

Sorry, yall...I still can't get over how bad the playcalling was this game. You'd think we had run out of QB's and the waterboy was behind center, it was so conservative.

How did we go from last week, to THIS? :banghead:

I'm calling it now. Same people who complained about moral victory will be complaining about the win all week.

Nobody is complain about the win. Complaining about bad play calling, complaining about sloppy execution… why shouldn’t we want better? The Boys need a decisive win, primarily over the she-gals next week

Chargers were hurt bad by their undisciplined play. Cowboys showed good restraint at critical times.
