If you have Dak below the Top 7, I can't take you seriously

I'm not going to rank the QB in order but the following QB's are better than Dak.

(NOT in order)

1. Mahomes
2. Jackson
3. Watson
4. Wilson
5. Stafford
6. Brady
7. Herbert
8. Allen
9. Murray
10. Rodgers
11. Carr
12. Burrow
13. Mayfield, Tannehill, Prescott

So OP how on earth is Dak a top 7 QB?
Agree
so stafford has no excuse for not winning the superbowl or making it to the NFCCG...he has everything...

and its not bad luck when you go 4-12.....when you are that bad, you are part of the problem.
don’t forget stafford was with the lions . No one does well there for some reason . His talent is now on showcase with a team that has a chance to go far . Will see .

So you just got to get an insult in by responding, but then say you aren’t going to respond? Who are you and why would I care either?

You didn't hurt me. Just kinda annoying. Also not sure what you're trying to say here. Basically that Dak is better in man than zone, like that's a bad thing. And Dak was firing rockets everywhere against the Bucs last week.... so there.

And yes, there were 2 deep safetys against Dak too and he still had 177 yards in the first half. 2nd half he was far worse, but had only 3 possessions. The Chargers were really eating up time trying to keep our offense off the field otherwise Dak goes for 300 easily. Zone or man, whatever they play.... it's very unlikely you'll hold Dak to under 300 yards and 2 TDs unless you play to keep him off the field. But of course, I'm gonna wait for how you're gonna try to spin that.

so now stafford gets all the excuses....when you go 4-12....you are part of the problem. they also had some talent to have made the playoffs, yet they fizzeled badly. he never won a playoff game.

stafford is over rated...

so this year , he has zero excuses....if he doesn't make it to the NFCCG, he is way over rated.

Agreed . I will bet you he wins at least one playoff game this year , his first year with a decent team . Have you seen his last two games ? He is on fire . He has a special arm , similar to Herbert who reminds me of elway a bit .

so one playoff win with a loaded rams team and one of the best offensive minds in the game is enough to have him as a top 10 QB..OOOOKKK Then.

he played well against a hapless Chicago team (he knows them all too well having played them twice a year)....and for all intent and purpose, Indy lost that game, that they should have won. they shot themselves in the foot...

and its funny, you tend to give a pass to Stafford and sing his praises, yet find any little thing to knock Dak...what's your agenda? you a closet Stafford fan? a Lions fan in disguise?

Hes an Eagles fan pretending to root for the Cowboys. It's pathetic really.

like you said, its too early to be able to tell anything...Murray has played two defenses that were in the low 20s last year. Dak has played two top 10 defenses. Brady got to play against two of the worst defenses from last year as well.

we need a bigger sampling......
fwiw....
Tampa Bay's pass defense was 21st last year. It was their run D that was totally dominant.
The Chargers pass D was better (9th) and it showed statistically. Hard to go downfield on those guys, but easier to run.

Our attack in both games was appropriate given the opposing D's strengths

I agree on needing more data. No doubt

Ok... I'll submit that he's below perennial Super Bowl winning Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, and Mahomes.

As for the next tier.... the Allens, the Jacksons, the Watsons, and the Herberts

We all surrender that Allen has a stronger arm, but are the other attributes overwhelmingly in either's favor? I think Dak has more all-around better traits, but Allen's arm is definitely stronger.

Watson is AWOL, allowing other QBs to surpass him while he's on vacation..

Jackson is only been playing at this current level for 2 years. Elite coaches have not yet started to catch up with him to take away what he does best yet. Dak has been here 6 years. He has already survived the round of elite coaches gameplanning against him and came out from the fires still strong and burning. Guys like Colin Kaepernick, Jared Goff, and RGII were not strong enough to overcome that and they went away. Dak persisted and figured them out. Let's wait to see what Jackson can do once he gets that roundabout first, and it's quite possible he could fade away too.

You'd like to say Herbert > Dak, but Dak wasn't the one who threw 3 interceptions today. One was taken away by a bogus PI call on Kearse but in reality he threw 3.

Dak is 4-0 against Cousins in Washington, and subsequently ran him out of town. He's way better than Cousins.

Tannehill has not been looking good to start. Besides, Titans go up and down with Henry. if Henry has a bad game, Titans are toast.
I got him at 6 and moving up..

chargers play a slightly more aggressive bend but don't break style. they dont' want to give up the big play down field. so they play the deep zone to keep everything in front of them. they have Dervin James who is a great saftey and covers a lot of ground. they also have good pass rushers that takes pressure off the zone defense. they are a good defense. their LBs aren't as fast as tampa, but they are a good defense.

Prescott is the worst quarterback on the field today. Mountaineer cowboy
I must have him blocked LOL was wondering what you meant..:) we had balanced attack two week in row now KM had the correct game plan..this is what dak critics will never be happy when he throws 58 times for 400 yards and loses they blame him say it was empty yards in a loss and if he plays nice workman like balanced day they say look he cant throw..LOL

dak looks to have improved his pocket presence and moved up this season he just looks comfortable..seeing the field better..i feel last season 4 games were bit of catch up hollow yard type games this season so far hes been GREAT..looks to be in full comand of the play calls..

only knock i have on him and the coaching staff is at the end MM is blaming the clock being shut off ie clockgate LOL but why didnt Dak call a TO rights after that run play and try to get more yards..maybe the coach has control most of the game with TOs etc but our field general should have called that TO with what 23secs left and they let it wind down for tough kick..lucky we won that or MM and KM would have got all the blame but id lie to have seen Dak call that TO..

hoe the NFL looks into it if the big clock on our teams viewpoint was shut off..could be fine coming ..

What Dak did yesterday was he orchestrated the game.. and controlled it for the most part. People get way too caught up in the minutiae ... He can go off for 450 yards one game and complete 80% of his passes and cut the yards in half the next. I'm happy that he can do both.. then in our back pocket he has the ability to take off with the ball from time time.. That's winning football.

Prescott has been working with an accuracy individual. I heard that during the game I was kind of impressed. Yes I’m liking what I’m seeing. I’m loving the safeties . I’m not sure if they’re getting enough credit. You’re a linebacker was amazing on the end

It was 28 seconds on the clock after Pollard ran to the right #. I think they set up the kick. I don’t think they wanted to run another play. Especially after a 10 second runoff and losing a time out. I don’t think I want to take the chance but that’s just my opinion

I have been a Prescott fan since his first preseason game against Seattle. I know what this team went through looking for starting quarterback. That’s a Troy Aikman went down before Tony Romo. I think we had 20 different starting quarterbacks. Even a Randall Cunningham LOL no I like Prescott

QB comparisons are worthless because they play in different systems under different circumstances and are asked to do different things.

In two starts this season, after coming off that injury, Prescott has proven he can go shootout against the GOAT or run the offensive system that calls for 50% run.

There is a huge difference between being a QB and a passer. Marino, Cutler, George were passers. Prescott plays QB but he has proven that he can air it out with any QB in the game and coming into the league there was no way he could have done that. The man has built himself into one hell of a QB and as good a leader as the game has.

Since you can't have any of these other QB's, why not be happy with the one you've got? Need help with that" Think about all of the ones between Aikman and Romo and what they could have had ahead of Prescott in that draft.

When you rank Prescott, you play the game that the Cowboys could have had those other QB's, what in the hell leads you to believe that? Maybe if those that find so much fault with him would think of how much worse they could do instead of coveting what you can't have, he wouldn't get so needlessly hammered here?

defense is bending but not breaking starting to remind me of Marinelli's and some of Wares old Defenses that were pretty good..Opportunistic but will give up yardage..so far they are tops in the league in forcing TOS and its keeping us in games but hopefully as they gel more then can have shorter drives against..id like more punt..

I remember off-season On the original forum . Everyone was screaming for defense. I wanted Zack Martin in the worst way. I was a Notre Dame fan. I cut so much slack on crap all summer. I know how bad you wanted that linebacker in the draft. Everybody else was calling for something else. Good job of seeing talent. I want him I just wanted the corner first. But now I would never change it

umm wrong decision even though Greg made it correct.,.,they should have called YTO tried to get 5-8 more yards IMO..30-32 teams call TO in that sitaiton..56 yarder is not a comfortable kick to just sit on..
