Would you rather compete for a SB or earn a mid round pick next year?

Wouldn't you give up a 3rd round pick to maybe get to and possibly win the nfc championship game? Would you give up a 2nd or a 1st? Now i'd listen to all offers but do you really think anyone is giving a 1st or 2nd for Gallup? ink he is much like Smith-schuster. When he's not the #1 and in single coverage he can be really really good, but he's not a main guy who can draw and beat single coverage and on this team Dak won't force him the ball in those situations anyway. Why not try and win a superbowl, isn't that still the goal? And let him walk and earn that potential 3rd round pick the following year. Even though he isn't a #1 we are better offensively with him especially if another skill player gets hurt, cooper, jarwin, shcultz etc. We need the depth to make a run.

I cannot for the life of me understand why our fans are constantly trying to trade our players.

Wilson has played well. He’s not the equal of Gallup.

Gallup may need up walking in free agency for starter money. I’ll take the draft pick compensation.

No need for him unless you plan cut cooper off-season. I rather have cooper he plays hurt and is a proven #1 - I honestly don’t think gallop is a 1 and maybe not even a #2. If I can get a 2nd or a stud cb/dl player I gotta trade gallop now. Don’t keep him without plan - Wilson can be our #3.
NOPE

These trade Gallup threads were way over done in the off-season, and were worthless then.
So now we need to still see them during the season.

No way you trade Gallup. Actually we seen his impact not being on the field though not a great impact, but still do none the less.
We will need him later in the year, and especially in the playoffs as we would be playing better teams.

If the team did everything the fans wanted, the tankers and whiners would be happy, as we would have a top 5 pick and be losing every year.

I can't understand this either. I don't think they pay attention at all. Many will turn on the game, watch. Then won't read or listen to any analysis. Then read some bad headline and go with it.

CeeDee takes off the pressure from Amari, as who do they double team, if they do.
Gallup takes that pressure off of both. As who do they cover now with all 3 out there. Then you have Schultz - Jarwin combo, or Zeke Pollard combo as to run or pass.

Gallup opens things up more, as where Wilson looks good, but he does not do what Gallup does, not yet, anyway, and not in the same way.

Depends what you can get for him.
I am not interested in a late round pick.
Now a 3rd or better, I am listening.

Did cutting Jaylon make financial room for Gallup? Maybe. Or financial room for Schultz? Perhaps.

But next year the cap goes up fairly substantially, and the reworkings of contracts could allow you to keep the band together for a back to back championship.

I have never figured out why it is once the team finds a good player, fans are chomping at the bit to trade them for magic beans.

The CAP can only go up to about $208 million max. This has already be agreed to by the league and NFLPA. With the Cowboys 2022 contracts factored in, the Cowboys are already $17 million over the CAP, taking the save from cutting Jaylon Smith. The big increase in the CAP from the new TV deals probably won't kick in until 2023 or 2024. Even then, the big CAP increase everyone is expecting probably won't be as big as everyone hopes. Regardless, it will not happen soon enough to fix Dallas's 2022 problem. Of course Jerry could go crazy and restructure a bunch of contracts hoping this roster is the one that makes it to the SB, but that gets tougher because of Dak's contract. Some hard decisions will be necessary in 2022.

In any case, there is no point in trading Gallup now. Why diminish your team at the very time when they have a chance to make a run at the SB for the first time in 25+ years? Especially knowing his value is decreased by the fact he is a free agent at the end of the year and he is coming off an injury?

You must play Madden with injuries and fatigue turned off.

You have no grasp on the importance of depth.

I've always hated the way the Cowboys never get anything for good players that leave except for comp picks, but in a year where they look competitive they shouldn't screw around with their depth,,,, especially in a "wuhan" season where players might be unavailable.

Keep him and lets rock n roll. It’s a 17 game season fellas, we will need every ounce of depth we have to make a hopeful long playoff run. Screw the pick (unless some fool gives a 1st).

Cooper is always banged up and whose to say he won’t miss a game here or there.

Always listen to offers...if someone out there offers a 2 or better you take it....but nobody is going to offer that so no reason to consider anything that we wouldn't already get with the comp pick.

I love what they have done this year. They are very good. I'm excited to watch them play every week.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, everyone and I mean everyone has a price....

Don't kid yourself if someone came along and threw a 1st round pick at the cowboys for their number 3 wr they would do it in a heart beat....but not gonna happen

We’d probably get more from a compensation pick if we let him walk at the end of the season, than if we traded him.
Also we need him back as he’s our best number 2 receiver… as well as needing depth if we get injuries.
