All you have to think about is - the ball was on the 1 yd line - he surges forward, never gets knocked back - pile gets up and half his body is over the line. It still baffles me that they didn't even review in the booth since less than 2 mins.

This is where they have been screwed twice now on the same issue. The NFL had made it a point on close calls like this, to give the benefit of doubt and call it a score - then get the automatic review. Both time, Dallas has scored and haven't gotten the call. AWFUL and fishy.

The one line judge was consistently giving bad spots of the ball all game long.

Well, it was reviewed. They just didn't see anything to overturn and you see why. I said after that Philly game that they need to order that overhead camera to station right on the goal line in those goal line situations. But with the ball tucked in Dak's gut it'd be hard to see that too unless slightly off-center. QB sneaks are better in the field of play going for a 4th Down because not everyone is all bunched up looking for it. Should have gone to Zeke twice. Use your battering ram.

It wasn't reviewed during the game- the Pats called a TO, that was why there was a stoppage of play. Even more time for NY to look at the tape and call for a review. Crickets...nothing. Pure poo call.

I re-watched it 5 time's in row, i have it on my tv ,it was a TD..no doubt and we have had this happen 3 times this year..the refs have to call it td then review it and either stay the pay or reverse it with evidence. not calling it is a td in order for an auto review was reckless and wrong..

I watched it a bunch of times myself. That's how I found Dak's knee down. If the ref saw that, then I get not calling it a TD if you didn't definitely see the ball cross. If the ref didn't see it then I agree you almost have to call it a TD. Again, you want to see hard evidence and not assume or "estimate." Was just hard to see through all that stuff.

If that really is his knee then it is 6 inches from the plane of the goal line. Unless he is carrying the ball between his legs that is a TD.

Yes. And Steratore said that they probably were reviewing the tapes and didn't find anything which is why they didn't buzz down. There was more than enough time to make that determination if the broadcast showed like 5 different angles that never showed the ball.

Yeah, but then you're calling things TDs that aren't TDs, hoping for replay to save you. If you have no clear shot of the ball then you can't reverse a TD that might not have actually been a TD. That's not erring on the side of caution, that's looking for a tech bailout that may or may not be there. I think you should err towards evidence.

My son and I watched the game together. Throughout the game Mac Jones let The clock go down to zero before he snapped the ball and delay of game wasn’t called. He kept saying how is this possible.

Talked about this last night in another thread but delay of game penalties have an extra second built in after the clock hits zero to give the official to look at the clock and then check the ball to see if it's being snapped. Here's an article that discusses it.

nope i heard that what they are supposed to do on all plays call it catch if it closes, call it a td ,or To if its closes all are reviewable and that what the review is for...

sorry brah they should have called it then went and looked because to most of us 99% say it was td, it was td most media, sports shows and fans who are not cowboys fans.....so you dont get the call over 1% that not how it works.

its good we won because jerrys flight would have been to NY not TX after that one.. the team would go homes jerrys plane lands oin nearby field, knocking on Goodells door for answers by 9pm EST L:) lol

we left 2 tds on the field thanx 2 the refs stealing them. Next time we just better take away all doubt. We now know the deck is stacked. WWE refs is what that was. I expect that from here on out.

Yeah, never heard of those procedures. You have a link that says they're supposed to do that? Where'd you hear that?

Dak scored before the ball was hit. The nose of the ball just has to barely graze the goalline. It did!! One play prior Zeke scored! His torso was all the way in the endzone for cryin out loud! Unless the ball was between his knees HE SCORED. That looked rigged. Or do my eyes lie?
