Yep.. I notice you are called Creeper and have a guitar in your profile.. Are you into any band named "Creeper" by chance? I know of two bands named that..

Never heard of them. Creeper is a high school childhood nickname a teammate gave me because I played shortstop in baseball. He thought it was a funny play on "Scooter" as in Phil Rizzuto. He was the only person to ever call me that but I still use it online.

Zeke doesn't strike me as being "afraid" of anything with the contact he takes on lol.
Well, he's definitely afraid to dive over a pile in order to better convert those 3rd or 4th & 1s. If he wasn't afraid, he would have done it by now. How quickly he was hurdling over DBs in the open during his first few years, but all of this time he refuses to dive over a pile? He's scared.

4 penalties? Lol

9 penalties all year? At this rate he will break the record for penalties.

Your hero looks terrible.

easily the weakest link on the line. McGovern needs to replace him.

And look at Biadasz handling his business and getting better and better.
9 penalties? Man, you are a big time liar! How do you lie so much and come on here acting like it doesn't bother you? Quit lying as usual. Get your facts right for once!

It's 7 penalties, not 9!!!

Here is the way I look at it. The Cowboys staff isn't going to re-sign or let Connor Williams go based on what Cowboys fans or certain media think one way or the other. They are more knowledgeable, study quality game tape with highly experienced eyes, dissect individual and group performance of plays in meetings with players, coaches and coordinators present.
I half agree with you.

I agree 100%. Leary was just a mauler that we never saw get manhandled. THAT is what the LG position requires. Which is why I absolutely luv the idea of putting LC back at LG, his original position when he first got here.IMO, he's a mauler and plays best in a phone booth at LG. CW isnt that as u said.
Except Leary could be out quicked whichs is bigger problem, there are far less Fletcher Cox and Hargraves then there are Aaron Donalds and quicker 3T.

If you look at that youtube he has been designated the help guy for the center, he is always looking to the center as he is moving into his pass sets. He is basically playing 1.5 positions.

Please, yourself. He is nowhere close to Zack Martin in performance, nor worth. The FO and the staff will decide what to do with him. Aside from that, I never said he was the worst LG available. I just said he was replaceable and that his penalties might make him vulnerable to being replaced. Sure, there are many guys that are worse than he is and many that are better and don't get flagged as easily. We'll see if he's retained next year or not. The staff will do whatever they deem is best.
He may not be but the market for "quality" OL is high. If first round bust Ereck Flowers can get 10m a year and Williams is heand and shoulders better than Flowers he will pull down close to 13m a year. Which is close to what Martin is being pad on his contract that is much older. Whether he is worth the $$$ is irrelevant because the market usually grows every year so, a player at the top of the scale 3-4 years ago ends up lower on the ladder as the market is set ever year.

Well I don’t even think he has to honestly. He’s had no issues scoring in the redzone this year has he?

Yes, he has. Zeke has struggled to covert 3rd or 4th & 1s several times, along at the goal line. Just rewatch this last game vs the Patriots. Perfect example.

Which plays were in the redzone did he struggle on? Was it when they didn’t count the Dak TD in there? I know there was the 4th and 1 on the 30…..honestly didn’t remember anything else there.

Rewatch this lengthy highlights. Shows how many times Zeke failed to convert those short & 1s into either 1st downs or TDs.

You don’t want to dive over in 4th and 1s…..that’s usually reserved for 4th and inches and I didn’t see many in the clips you posted.

There was at least 3 or 4 3rd or 4th & 1s during the game. Did you watch the game?

Connor oh Connor! Lol

He’s the fanbases’ whipping boy this year. Well him and MM lol.

He’s certainly better than the doom and gloomers and naysayers on here would have you believe. He’s got to clean up the penalties for sure though.

However, he might be the weak link on the line but that doesn’t mean he’s actually a weak player. He could very well be having a nice season and just be the worst player on a tremendous offensive line.

You're dreaming if you think he Cowboys FO is likely to stand still for spending that kind of money to replace Williams. They'd elect to wait 'til the next draft to take someone to replace him for far less. They aren't in any advantageous position in their cap money at this time to make that kind of money expendable. They'll likely wait 'til next year to attend to a solution.

Otherwise, you should look for them to draft a promising rookie guard to fill that spot before considering any LG with experience to replace Williams. Someone like Connor McGovern, whom they already have, could easily be the one to get that done, rather than spending that amount.

He's had 9 penalties, 7 accepted, 2 declined.

He's given up 75 yards with only five O-linemen giving up more than 35 yards in penalties, and just one of them within 25 yards of what he's given up. No lies, it's definitely a problem.

I did. You’ve yet to show me the 4th and 1s Zeke missed in the redzone…..

I think he missed four short yardage ones he should have converted.

  • Zeke missed a 3rd and 1 at the 30
  • Zeke missed a 4th and 1 at the 30
  • Zeke missed a 1st and 1 at the goal line
  • Zeke missed a 2nd and 1 at the goal line

I love that we have these kind of problems.

We have seven O-linemen capable of being starters for most other teams.

Having said that:

The point isn't whether or not Williams "deserves" to be replaced. There is no such thing as "deserving " to start based on an individual's performance alone.

A player "deserves" to start only if there is no other available player on the team capable of playing that position better without hurting the synchronization of the entire line.

That last condition is partly the reason i still feel Collins should stay at RT and Steele returns to a backup role. That is, if Collins returns to his 2019 form.
