Eagles are Stockpiling 1st RD Draft Capital

Obviously in a couple of years this could be a problem for the division, but we have to take each year one at a time. I think the Eagles ate building something but last year and this year will not be good for them.

What you do with it is where improvements come in
Needing a QB will take all that draft capital and I think they need a QB

They're going to have to draft the top three QBs in the draft for me to be even remotely concerned. Even then, I'd still be more concerned who the back-up, pactice squad punter is for the Cowboys.

What in the world do you see in the Giants? They are about to either clean house or at the very least fire Gettleman which would make a unchosen HC/GM combo which almost always leads to the coach being fired for a guy the GM wants.

Their OC is one of the blandest and borderline incompetent ones in the league, their QB isn’t a definitive franchise guy, and they are up against the cap with multiple guys about to be FA’s in a season or two (Peppers, Barkley, Jones).

They are definitely tied with Washington as teams who have way too much to overcome to make a quick turnaround. Philly is the only team with the resources to do so but have a small margin for error with a GM who is hit or miss at best.

QB is probably not their problem. Hurts is actually doing better than he has any right to be with how the Eagles are built. They hardly ever give it to the running backs. They have an awful offensive line. Their receivers aren't that great. They are pretty bad on defense. The Eagles on both sides have pretty close to the least amount of talent in the league. Yet they nearly came back and tied the Buccaneers and have 2 wins. They don't have a great QB but he can probably be serviceable on a decent roster. The problems with the Eagles are they have little talent everywhere else. They need to use their picks on defense at all levels, WRs, OL etc.

On paper it looks like a great opportunity, but they also have to hit. Over the last 15 years 1 in 3 first round picks went on to make a pro bowl. So odds are they will find some immediate starters, but perhaps 1 pro bowl caliber player. It is a weaker QB class too so if they decide to go that direction that's 1 pick or perhaps multiple if they need to move up.

They may very well have 3 in the top eight.

I'm fully convinced that they will trade two of them for a QB who busts, so we are probably good.

The Giants also have their own and Chicago's.

There's a decent shot five of the top 10 picks end up in the division. Maybe six if WFT doesn't figure some things out.

I think it is more likely the Birds trade picks with another team to acquire a QB than having a good draft.

Not to mention they could trade down from those first rounders and gain a whole lot more picks in the first two rounds.

The Eagles aren't going to whiff on all those picks.
