Of course. But the number has skyrocketed, shackling defensive players. The number of “ticky tack” offenses has more than quadrupled, and the consistency? None. Penalties are no longer PART of the game, they ARE the game. I don’t know, man. I don’t know how else to explain it to you. Agree to disagree?

Agree. The refs have clearly over injected themselves in games to where they are deciding games.

He was. Some people are just trying to make excuses for what ranks as one of his worst games as a pro. There aren't any excuses.... he just sucked yesterday.

Maybe the “Beats by Dre Dre” stopped working? No player these days can be expected to overcome that.

I had not planned on a re-watch of that game but now my interest is piqued in all of his throws and where his right leg was on all of them.

I was planning on feeding my masochism by repeatedly hitting all of my extremities with a hammer but I guess I could put that off and re-watch that game instead.

The thing that gets lost in just looking at penalty numbers, percentages etc is that the data presupposes that all penalties are created equal. You could only have one blow call go against you in a game.. but if that blown call is a bogus PI that costs you a game winning TD or ticky tacky hold that brings back a touchdown that would have won you the game that's a helluva lot bigger than 5 false starts and a holding call in the first half. Then there are the no calls.. I always come back to that 9 game stretch a few years ago when no Cowboys opponent was flagged for offensive holding. Not a one.. No one can convince me that's just some sort of weird coincidence. And how about the missed PI on the Rams that should have sent the Saints to the Super Bowl in 2018? In the stat book that shows up as "Brees pass deep right to _____ incomplete.." But anybody who watched the game knows it was a helluva lot more than that. Even if the Rams had five times as many penalties called on them in that game .. it was the Saints who got jobbed. But somewhere there's an idiot who will claim it was a good no call.. for reasons only he can explain. Probably something to do with his bookie..

Pretty much every player on the team looked like steaming crap, but by all means focus on one.

Dak's not immune from criticism. Pointing out his mistakes doesn't excuse the rest of the team either. So stop being so sensitive.

Yep.. "Tuck rule..." The Raiders were doomed the day Al beat the NFL in court over the right to move to Los Angeles. I believe the Cowboys have suffered a similar fate since Jerry took the NFL and specifically their chief counsel at the time, Roger Goodell, to the woodshed over sponsorship deals.

Edit: I almost forgot about WHY the Saints would have been at the end of that screw job against the Rams.. They were the "Bountygate" team..

Now that you mention trends, the 2 that really kissed me off were the year that not one kicker missed a field goal against us and the season that we had the Browns 1st round pick and they finished 12-4 which was thought to have been impossible

There you go being sensitive again. I get your agenda is to shield Dak from criticism and deflect it to the rest of the team but that's not going to work. Dak played terribly so there is nothing wrong with saying among all the terrible performances on this team was Dak's. It's not hate, it's just pointing out the obvious.
