Will Gallup Matter?

Michael Gallup is finally being activated this week. We've missed his ability to be a long-ball receiving threat. But the question I have for you is with Dak overthrowing his targets, will Gallup even matter? If Dak can't connect with his deep target then how does Gallup being activated become something the Falcons have to be concerned about?

If he can run I think he can stretch the field for us with his ability to make big plays down the sideline against 1 v 1 coverage.

I also think he is a better X WR than Lamb and Lamb is still our best slot guy.

We’ll see though.

of course Lamb is gimpy, ac always hurt, would be good to have soem fresh legs and new talent back to take pressure off them..

thats a big If that one game Dak has been off out of 9 so what its trend now?

Yes. With Coop and CDL banged up having another healthy WR will be great for rotations

Will Tyron play, that is the real million dollar question? He is the MVP of the offense, not Dak or Lamb or Gallup or Zeke

He's our best deep threat WR and is also dangerous at the edges. Huge addition. People have short memories.

Are you saying you dont know?

Fresh legs always matter. Gallup probably scores on a 9 route in the first quarter.. I do think he's faster than a gimpy Lamb .. hell he may be faster than a healthy Lamb but either way he's a better deep ball target.. His presence will impact the coverage.. which should be positive for the offense. Dak hasn't had back to back bad games since mid-year 2019.. So I'm not expecting a repeat of last week any time soon.

He better have a good week of practice. If he doesn't his plays should be extremely limited. Wilson and Brown have been more than serviceable.

Gallup being back only helps. How can it not. We seen what he can do. He could be the X factor in this game. As the Falcons has film on us without him. They could look at past games. But Moore has been calling each game different. They may not be prepared for that.

Gallup is an extra concern in the passing game, so it could open up the run game for Zeke and Tony. Though they will still try to take away the run first. So this is where Dak needs to improve upon last week, and get back to his normal great play he was having.
