Will Gallup Matter?

Michael Gallup is finally being activated this week. We've missed his ability to be a long-ball receiving threat. But the question I have for you is with Dak overthrowing his targets, will Gallup even matter? If Dak can't connect with his deep target then how does Gallup being activated become something the Falcons have to be concerned about?

Dak is a one read pre snap QB. It all hangs on Moore. If he is able to scheme a free WR more often with Gallop i am all for him.

From what i have seen in 2020 i think Gallop is the way to go.

Who's worried? I just see it for what it is. How do you enjoy the implosion of something you care about. It's hard to watch.

I hear ya . . . I definitely don't enjoy seeing our players getting hurt, nor losing but it's a part of the game that's unavoidable. Football is a game of gradually wearing down, not to mention pain. Despite the bad stuff, I'm happy to have the privilege of watching a team that I'm so passionate about. There's nothing like having something that you care about that much. It's one of my greatest pleasures in life and I'm sure you feel much the same. ;)

I think it will.

If anything, it will get Prescott out of the habit of trying to help make his buddy Wilson a superstar.

Is that what Wilson did, fill in for Gallup? I don't remember Gallup playing ST. I don't remember Gallup throwing the ball. Wilson does so much more for this team than Gallup.
Wilson didn't fill in for Gallup. Lamb filled in for Gallup and Wilson filled in for Lamb. Wilson contributes a lot as a third or fourth option but let's not pretend like he is starting against the other teams no.1 or no.2 CB. He makes big plays because everyone is focused on the 1 and 2 starting WR's.

I don't understand why fans can't realize this.

you said that's ALL he does.
124 career TDs says other wise.
Dak was out of rhythm last sunday.
he's capable of better and has shown it.
No one is denying Dak has done good work. But he is now hurt and it's affecting his accuracy. Dak admitted as much this week. Until he fixes whatever causes him to be so inaccurate last game, that is who he is.

So what are you doing about climate change?
Blowing hot air is not helping.

I didn't say Wilson filled in for Gallup. I was replying to someone else that said that. Gallup makes big plays for the same reason, everyone is focused on Cooper and Lamb.

Gallup was making big plays long before we drafted Lamb.

I think the answer is yes because Gallup and Dak enjoy good chemistry. He's a good catcher, and I think this will mean too many weapons to guard. I think Dak will be in good shape. I think last game was a bit fluky.
