You're looking at one aspect of his game, which until this year hasn't even been an issue. He had 6 penalties all of 2019, just 4 penalties in 2020. I'm not happy with the penalties and CW deserves to be chastised over them this year. It does seem however that the penalties so far are an outlier to his career and not the norm.

I got him for a few bogus penalties including a phantom chop block. I also see him listed for 10 penalties unless the site isn't updated?

And the point isn't Conner is as good or as bad as Leary. My point was guys like Parnell and Leary both got paid when they left here.

Conner may not get paid. To me I just seen linemen get paid every year especially ones who can play tackle and guard. If he will be cheap i'd hope the Cowboys would bring him back.

Leary was a road grader who obviously started slacking after a big contract. He also had a degenerative knee. The line never has been the same since he left. We had to put in Connor Williams and you see how that's gone.

Parnell was also playing right tackle next to Zack Martin. He was a really good player but they overpaid.

In your first sentence you said they have nothing to do with Connor and in the next sentence you lie and claim the line hasn't been the same since he left....even though Leary got replaced by La'El Collins not Connor who wasn't even on the team until 2 years after Leary left lol. But its Connor's fault that the line hasn't been as good since Leary left? Boy oh boy.......

Yeah I don't know why he doesn't get a shot at tackle. Maybe he has in practice and they don't feel he's very good.

I’ve wondered about that myself but to the best of my knowledge and based on reporters covering practice, he never has.

La'El is our right tackle. He's clearly not a option for guard. So basically you think this organization is inept and doesn't know how to gauge linemen? Because you can't use the argument that "draft status" or "pay" is why Williams is starting because he wasn't a high draft pick and he isn't highly paid.

These discussion are funny though....I had them right before the season started in regards to guys like Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis.....my how the narrative has changed on those guys.

How is Collins not an option for guard when he played there in the past?

They need to move Collin's back to left guard, Steele back to right tackle, Smith to left tackle. Whenever Smith gets hurt again you move Collins back out to right and you replace Smith with Steele.

we will see if La'el is the RT once Tyron returns but it seemed like they were moving forward with Steele until Tyron went on his annual vacation. But a guy that played guard in the NFL (Collins) is clearly an option to play the position.

Yes, im sure the OL entire struggles are Connor Williams....nothing to do with losing an all pro C due to early retirement, or Tyron Smiths ability to stay on the field. I'm more than willing to admit that CW is not a Pro Bowl caliber G, but the fact you want to make him out to be the root of all our issues is mind boggling.

La'el I am all for taking the LG spot, he is certainly a better overall player than CW....McGovern I would be very careful what you wish for. He has always been a RG/C, is excelling in his current role, and is essentially the same frame/body type/type of player as CW.

Zach Parnell? Do you mean Jeremy? Man you are high this morning lol....so when Leary was in Denver and Connor was at UT it was Connor's fault that the Cowboys line was never the same lol? Or the fact that Fredericks had to retire because of a disease he had? Naw its Connor....I don't even know what to say lol.
