No doubt that Dakota heads to be in that conversation if he wins a Super Bowl.

Until that though, he’s just another regular season Qb with good stats.....just like Romo

Which would place him in the Romo, Danny Whote range battling for the 3rd spot in team history.

I believe Dak is better than Aikman but can’t rank him ahead of him until he wins a couple of championships.

1. Staubach
2. Aikman
3. Dak
4. Romo
5. White
6. Meredith
That's about where I'm at.

Well, I served in Vietnam (now I'm telling my age, 1968 during the TET offensive)...supply clerks do not fly, especially Navy personnel. Yes, he was a great man, still is.
Thank you for your service. I served in a forward location during Desert Shield and Storm. I knew there was a reason why I always liked you..lol

As someone who has not had to watch the Cowboys lose in the Super Bowl since I was in high school and college I do worry about how devastated I would be if they ever do get to the Dance and lose.. I mean I used to go into depression for two months when the Cowboys lost in the playoffs back then.. I fear what it would do to the old ticker if they last one now.. Especially if it was a heartbreaker where some 3rd string tight end drops a TD pass at a key moment in the game.. Aw man I just made myself depressed again just remembering that.

I have seriously wondered if I would be able to enjoy the game at all if they ever get back to the Super Bowl. Just watching them in the few playoff games they've been in that I can remember is hard. Knowing it is 1 game and out jacks up the stress big time. I feel like I would be an absolute wreck watching the game. Maybe one day soon I'll get to find out.

.....around here, a 1-2 playoff record gets you pretty close to Aikmann status.

Funny how last week we didn’t see a thread like this......
I love Dak but I don't post often. Be glad I didn't post this thread in week 1.

Too early still... I think the guy has a chance to be #1, but without a super bowl he will be viewed similarly to Romo instead of the Aikman/Staubach tier.

IM just curious if you dont mind me asking, but how old are you?

IM sorry, but for my Money, Roger is in the top 5 QBs to ever play. I would have loved to see what he would have done if he played in this era. The year he retired he led the NFL in passing. He retired after what would be a very short career by todays standards. Why? Because he got the hell beat out of him every weekend back when defenses could literally pound you into the turf on every play. Brady gets to play in todays era of not touching a QB in addition to WRs NEVER getting hit when they come over the middle.

Staubach was the greatest 2 minute drill QB of my lifetime. Today when we are down within 2 minutes and get the ball, IM just hoping we can pull it off. With Roger, it was in the bag... or at least it seemed to be.

I hate to compare todays QBs with the guys from the 70s and 80s. So for me to hear Dak being considered, to have a chance to pass Roger, thats blasphemy to me....lol

Roger Staubach
Troy Aikman
Don Meredith
Danny White
Tony Romo
Dak
I'm good with the list...Romo and Dak have won the exact same in the playoffs though, neither got past Divisional..White for sure deserves to be above them as he got to the NFCCG ...
well Damn, Trent Dilfer, Jim McMahon, Doug Williams, Joe Flacco, Mark Rypien and even the great Nick Foles all have SB wins, so I guess using the Danny White grading scale, all of those guys must be better than Romo also. Not in my world were any of those guys better than Romo.

There's no way in hell it will happen but if Dak somehow manages to win 5 rings as a Cowboy, Staubach and Aikman would get filed away into the memory banks. Good thing for Roger and Troy this has an almost zero chance of coming true. Pigs will fly before Dak wins 5 rings.

Only if the NFL is like the WWE and gives the old man 1 more SB before he kicks up his boots.

Beating the falcons 31st ranked defense in points allowed usually starts these type of threads....beating the 32nd ranked defense will usually generate HOF threads
Bucs=1-4 in the Redzone did us in once again.

Giants =DOG
Panthers=DOG
Eagles=DOG
Falcons=DOG(many fleas)
Bolts=REFS
Vikes=Rush
Pats=Nice win

Ya Dak is HOF material 100%.....and don't forget MVP 2021:muttley:
