He’s missed very meaningful kicks. All “pressure kicks” aren’t in the 4th quarter.

He was one of the biggest reasons we lost to the Bucs. He’s also missed early kicks (Vikings) that forced the team to alter their late-game strategies. Every kick matters. Just like every play matters.

Nearly every kick off his foot looks like a wobbling knuckle ball — not exactly the most reassuring quality in a kicker. Can you tell me that you have true confidence that he’ll make any individual kick?

The thing is, I know you know all of this. You owe no individual player undying loyalty just because they have a star on their helmet. It’s okay to want the most talented player possible playing each position.
Nailed it.
:hammer:

I wish the Cowboys would keep Lirim Hajrullahu over Greg Zuerlein.

Absolutely the hot hand.

He didn't miss a chip shot XP.

Zuerline stinks. He thinks too much, IMO.
What happens when they lose a game when your hot hand can't make a 58 yard field goal?

It's already mid-November. If he doesn't play Thanksgiving, which isn't likely, then he gets another 10 more days to rehab, practice, and whatever else before the first game in December.
We actually have to play the Thursday following Thanksgiving, so only 7 days...it's 10 days following that game. Do they go ahead and bring him back the game following Thanks giveing, or give a full 10 days after that and start him against WFT? Who knows? Guess we'll just have to be patient in waiting for that answer.

Uhhhhh....Dallas loses?

Stupid question. But I'll play.

What happens when Zuerline misses an XP, AGAIN,and Dallas loses?

You don't hang on to a freaking kicker that misses extra points. Period.

He has zero consistency. Wobbly to the left, to the right squeaking through extra points?

Uhhh....no thanks. I'm not having my team bust it's *** for a shoddy kicker to lose it on a 30 yard shank.

Appreciate ya, my man........I sincerely hope the opposite.

and as soon as Hajrullahu misses people will turn on him. Fact is Zuerline has made some clutch kicks and has shown he can handle the pressure. He had a rough game vs Tampa but it was his late 4th qrt kick that gave Dallas the lead, granted Brady brought Tampa back in to FG to win. Chargers game Zuerlein hit 56 yarder for the winner. Pats game Zuerlein hits 49 yarder to get us to OT. Believe me any time the game rest in the hands of a kicker I get nervous but at least I know with Zuerline when faced with these situation he has come through.

Ok so give him the extra 7 days after Thanksgiving... I can't imagine another waiting another 10 days after that if he's recovered enough to practice.

Any kicker can miss an extra point. Extra points are missed each and every week in the NFL. My point was that Greg Z. has more range. He also makes 80% of his kicks. They aren't in a position to cut Greg Z. and give the new guy a full time job. Greg z has him beat in range by about 6 yards.

He has a rough time whenever he kicks. Quit making it look like he had a bad game vs. Tampa.

WATCH his kicks......RARELY, if ever,, are they not hooking or shanking right or left.

IF he had a directional issue, predominantly right or left, that's fixable.

The dude is all over the place.......and that's just on XP's!!!

I'm 100% with you on that. Games are games and every one counts.

He makes the big kicks results matter, I don't care how they look what I care about is going through the uprights, I have nothing against Hajrullahu what so ever but extra points is not vast experience or shows the ability to hit kicks in pressure situation where the game is on the line.

Yah. More range alright.......right or left?

80%? Not good enough.

I DO NOT CARE about other kickers missing XP's. Let the other teams worry about that. They hang on to subpar kickers......that's on them.

Prove Greg has more range........ haven't heard nor read that anywhere.

I'm talking about accuracy. That seems to elude Greg.
