Dont blame it on the owner Dak. If you bought into it or you didnt keep that team in line thats your own leadership error.
I don't think any of them were blaming the owner. More just stating a fact and so many players were off, I would have been surprised if they said they had good practices.

And I don't think Prescott is going to address the defense and their tackling. As fired up as Irvin could get, even he pretty much stayed out for the D players faces.

Leadership in team sports is a funny duck because if the leader is off, as Prescott was, hard to lead the others.

Of all the losses the Cowboys have had over the last few years, that DEN game was a team loss for sure. All but 3 players wanted to watch film from the back of the room.

Those kinds of games happen to good teams and we've seen that several times in just the last two weeks.

While driving my moms to the doctor, I thought about how it would be tough for Coach to gracefully bow out of this thread

While the 2 of us were driving, the song “Doin da Butt”, came on the radio. To have turned it off would have meant acknowledgement of the song and its implications, however listening to it in it’s duration was not a good option either.......ergo, sometimes these things just have to run their natural course
LMAO, I ain't backing down or off. I didn't say I wanted them to lose, just making a case for there are worst things.

shabby, you been around me too long to think I could gracefully back out of anything. In for a penny, in for a pound and I've been taking a pounding for sure. I feel like I am taking one for the team. While all y'all be in here hatin' on poor l'il ole me, your not at each others throats over Dak. I am a Dak decoy.

I see more benefit of winning this game than losing it. I think the Denver game was a good reminder that if you let up and come into a game not focused you will get your butt handed to you. Beating a contending team enforces the believe that we can play with top teams and win. I think the lessons of winning means a lot more.

Dak is the leader. He can set the tone and address the troops.

NFC East Rivals all have challenging games.
The Saints go marching in to the Quaker City.
The Football Team heads to the Queen City.
The Giants head to the Cigar City.
If the Cowboys TCB in the City of Fountains and the rest of the division falters - the lead increases to 4 & 1/2 and 5 games- with 7 to go.
AND - if home team Vikings and Seahawks win against their visiting division-leading rivals -
Dallas begins Thanksgiving week in the top NFC playoff spot.

I hope it all falls that way but in this game, media already talking about KC getting back on track and we have all heard for a long time Cowboys can't beat top contending teams. From a mental stand point you want to go out and show everyone including themselves that yes we can beat top teams, we can beat them on the road. Should Dallas lose those voices start up again that yeah Dallas can win but not when it comes to top teams or tough road games. This is a chance to get that monkey off their backs.

There are 27 other Clandestine Likes they PM'd to me, some are concerned about retribution from others for outwardly liking a thread so complex and deep that it causes come to go off and ponder the significance before responding.

4 Likes but 2,221 Views and 10% responses. Which is pretty good since I saw a study that 30% of our members are illiterate and just here for the cat videos in the OTZ.

I ask you to not consider just losing but the probability the Cowboys will not run the table and which loss might be the most beneficial, or less harmful to the playoffs? Losing to the Chiefs in KC is more palatable to me than losing at home to LV or to NO or the 4 remaining East game or mercy no, AZ. KC is still considered a contender and that's a tough place to play. And if you noticed, I said a well played and close game not what happened with DEN.

I would prefer to win out but I do not think that will happen so I am looking at the next best case scenario.

I disagree with that, the Cowboys best the Patriots in NE as they were starting their climb. That game started their move up the AFC list and that is a solid team.

They could have and should have won in TB.

The proof will come in the playoffs, that has always been the proving grounds and the Cowboys have not done well. That was those teams and not this one. One of the two losses was to the Broncos and they're sure as hell not a top team.

KC will be a tough road game but I think the tougher games are against NO, WFT, PHL and AZ.

The DAL-KC game is the NFL's eye candy game this week with stars aplenty but each team's division and conference games are more important.

The media is talking bounce back for both DAL and KC because that's what they do. Why did these teams need bounce backs?

The thing I will be looking for this weekend is will this crazy upset trend continue for a 3rd week. Any given Sunday might be stretched to Any given month.

I would just like to see DAL and KC give us the game I think they can and play up to potential. I want a great game. The TB and NE games were great games.

Are you crazy! We are playing for the Number 1 seed in the Conference!! Nobody wants to go to Green Bay! We need to show we can go on the road and win a Big time Team Like KC. Lets stop making excuses!! Go Cowboys!!!

The number 1 seed at this point in the season doesn't matter, who were the #1 seeds earlier in the season?

And yes, I do think I am crazy but that has nothing to do with this thread.

And again, just in case anyone missed it, I am not advocating losing. I am accepting that they will not run the table and see this as the least harmful and most possibly beneficial loss they might get and use that as a springboard for the rest of the schedule. I am looking at the long run on this.

Hey ron, how ya doin'?

No need to ask me, I am up to my old tricks of rebel rousing and trying to get a riot started on the cell block.
Are you admitting to trolling? Do you need more likes? I'd gladly give you some meaningless ones if you don't do stupid ship like this.

Win....that's is why we are here.

Anything else is unacceptable....even losing to learn how to win...is unacceptable.

If you don't know how to win NOW at this level.....then all is lost. We've already lost the ONE "lesson learned"...that SHOULD be enough for you shouldn't it? Now we need another one? To really make a point?

Stupid.

This is the game they they need to physically dominate they need to set the tone the way Denver did to us i hope we beat them in every facet of the game and leave them stunned at the results. I don't think they will go into another game again this year overconfident.

When did I mention trying to lose or tanking?

Just the opposite, you know how every pro golfer and tennis player gets better? They play better competition and I saw McEnroe say that losing to better players taught him how far he had yet to go. That's all I am saying here.

I think this is a good opportunity, if they play well but lose a close one, to build on that. I think that loss in TB was better than winning for this team. This team is the operative word because they play in the worst market in the country for the local media to spin because they are given added credibility by the owner seeking the spotlight.

Why do you think they stunk up that Broncos game? Prescott admitted it, they thought they were all that and could just show up against a lesser team. That was one lesson and this is not that. This is a measuring stick game to let the team know they still have work to do if they want to beat the good teams.
-------They play better competition and I saw McEnroe say that losing to better players taught him how far he had yet to go.

John McEnroe also said that he hated losing more than he did winning.

If you have a great HC, its just as easy to bounce back from a bad win as it is a bad loss....I will never forget the Chicago win when Jerry brought Prince Dingleberry into the locker room afterward and pizzed Jimmy off.....that was the game when Jimmy was lip smacking like I've never seen before, and said that "We were floppin' around out there!"
