I like Dak but what he did about his $$$$$ totally sucks.

Let's get real here, this is a single cat, no shoes to buy no mouths to feed and he needs 40 million a year? Why? No thoughts at al about ...TEAM...none at all and he needs one around him. He can't make ends meet at 25mill a year, hell yes he can. The cat making 50 mill selling soup. beds, whatever, and he can't be cool and help us out? Dude is greedy just that simple.

Hell yes who doesn't need a....

If I;m an offensive linemen I get pissed knowing without me protecting his butt there are no TV spots, no huge $$$$ contracts, hell......hey Dak, how about tossing some of that soup $$$$ over this way, would hate to miss a block.

And THAT'S what Gallup IS btw.

He had his shot to show he is a #1 and failed miserably.

Anyone who pays him that way I'll laugh at and they will regret it.

I'm not even sure if I want to retain him at all at this point, forget what the numbers are.

I like what he brings to the table but he does that with Cooper and Lamb doing the heavy lifting.

But we should be able to afford retaining Gallup as #2. At least for now. The fact his numbers will be wayyy down due to injury this year will help in negotiations. And we won’t have to pay Lamb for 3 more years. Cooper will probably be gone by then.
I doubt if the numbers are going to be lower because of his injury. there is plenty of tape on him. so players often get paid for potential rather than actual last year of their performance.

Will have the cap to re-sign Micah and if so how about Diggs?
Micah is on rookie deal. we can pick up his 5th year option so we have him until 2026 easily. not worried that far ahead. diggs is in his second year and we have him for 2 more years, so through 2023.....not worried yet.

seriously.... you ask why does he need the money...why does Lebron need $50M a year? why does brady need $25M per year? he has played for 20 years and his wife makes 4 times what he does.

and are you suggesting OL men should make more than QBs? does that go for Dallas or every team in the league? should WRs make more than QBs, since they are the ones actually catching the ball

its the freaking NFL. it is what it is. no different for cowboys than 31 other teams....

that was a pretty dumb question.

His cap hit is (2021)17.5m
(2022) 34m, (2023) 45m (2024), 48m with a chance to get out in 2024 that last year.

Can anyone confirm the above is correct?
And worth every penny! Even if you don’t like it, scream shrilly and vigorously stomp your wittle foot!!! Oh, and just wait till they extend him in 2023!

Dumb is thinking any single guy needs 40 mill a season playing football. Go ahead break it down, why does the guy need 40 mill to go with all that TV commercials $$$$. It;s ridiculous and everybody knows it.

LeBron wins champioships, Brady wins championship. what has Dak ever done to deseve that kind of $$$$$$, try....nothing.

He only works six months a year, 40 mill.....really?

You cant expect a player to do what you wouldnt do yourself. According to you, if we are going by what players are making from indoresments, Tom Brady should be playing for free.

Trust me I make damn sure my offensive line is intact and those guys are paid before....ME ME what about ME. And.....I make damn sure my team can handle my $$$$$ no problem. Not greedy.

My left tackle will be my best friend I take care of him.

Where was any concerns over team here, yep, there wasn't any.

Is Dak the highest-paid QB?

Forbes reveals Dak Prescott as NFL's highest-paid player over Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes. Forbes released its annual list of the NFL's highest-paid players on Friday, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott led the way with a whopping $87 million in earnings for 2021.Sep 3, 2021

And now that he can't run any longer he won't rework that contract since he's not what Jerry paid for.........of course not.

GTFOH. You can say whatever on the internet, but taking of half what they are offering you so some stranger on a forum won't think your "greedy" is idiotic.

What is idiotic is an NFL QB who has never won anything at all thinking he should be paid like those who win Superbowls.

Mahomes
Wilson
Brady
Rodgers

on a whole other level than Dak, until it comes to $$$$$.

I'm curious PD, you clearly are not a Dak fan and would rather we hadn't signed him long term. You equally are not happy at how much finance has been tied up in him but my question is this, IF in the next 4 seasons, Dallas wins a super bowl or two, would you relent and soften your stance towards him or would the hate continue?
his opinion is irrelevant

We have probably 15 other free agents including Gregory, Schultz, Williams, Neal, LVE, Kazee, Hooker, Urban, Armstrong.

We’re losing Gallup because you don’t pay your #3
WR huge money, not because of Dak.

There are people here who think that the Cowboys are looking at contending for a SB for the next 4 years. Like seriously.

Lol... the NFL rakes in $7-10 BILLION in profits annually, but you want people to take discounts. Forget Superbowls, their great great grandchildren cant eat a ring. Players want generational wealth.

If you think Dak's contract is crazy, just wait until Lamar Jackson's contract...

does Mahomes need 50M, does Allen need 45M? does Watson need 40m? and on down the line.

no one needs 40M. way more money that I could spend in a my lifetime.

and its not ridiculous. its free market. that's how free market works. you sound jealous.....

and Lebron didn't win championships for several years early in his career. neither did Manning. but Manning got paid and so did Lebron before they won.

and, so based on what you just said, no one should get paid unless they win a championship. right? please correct me if I am wrong.
