My thoughts on last night

First of all. A win is a win. On the road. Missing coaches, a WR who couldn't play all the snaps, an OL who couldn't run block, and an OC who refused to run the ball in the 4th with a lead the Cowboys grabbed a W.

Dak was great in the first 3 quarters and then I really don't even know what happened. He was throwing darts to Lamb, Cooper, and Gallup. Some of the best throws I have seen him make all year. Then the wheels fell off. He missed a lot of throws he normally makes too. While I defend Dak he needs to clean up his mechanics a bit and rest his calf the next 10 days. I saw him last night not planting his feet or pushing off of that leg. Personally I think that the condensed schedule and lack of practice time with all 3 of his WRs had a lot to do with it and I think this gets cleaned up before the Washington game. Dak has owned the NFCE since he came into the league so I am hoping the offense gets back on track. Maybe I am a homer but that's my opinion. Also. If Zeke isnt 100 percent they need to sit him. Period. Seeing him come out after Pollard broke a 50 plus yard TD was infuriating. Then when they do bring him out. What does KM do? He runs him up the gut lol.

Kellen Moore isn't ready for anything. He refuses to run the ball in the most critical times, he calls some really odd plays when we are trying for first downs and it just shows he isn't ready for the big seat yet.

The defense was huge last night. Yes I know it was the Saints but again Parsons showing why me and a few others were pounding the table for him back in November of last year when we had a top 5 pick. He is a unicorn. LVE needs to go. Like now. I hope he missed his flight back from NO to be honest. Gifford cant be any worse, and I would rather see him getting LVE's snaps. I saw at one point Parsons coaching up LVE. That's scary. Micah just makes big play after big play. Something that Demarcus Ware was always criticized for here (unfairly at times).

The officiating was actually pretty even. That crack block call was a joke but the hit to the head Dak took on his INT was missed so I think that's pretty even considering that would have iced the game had he made that pass. Also. I don't know if anyone caught it but on the throw down the sideline to Gallup the ref was about to pull the flag for DPI and then didn't. Troy even said it in the booth and he never criticizes officials when Dallas is playing. Call it a conspiracy all you want but little things like that make me believe someone is calling the game sometimes from NY lol.

Anyways those are my thoughts.

Dak is who he is. After 5 years, his mechanics aren't going to get better. Unless this team is 100% healthy and things click...they are one and done in the playoffs. Too inconsistent.
I disagree. The Dak before the calf injury was not the Dak you are seeing now. He was balling before that. Im just hoping the O figures it out. They have 10 days.

Last night was a GREAT night for me!!! I got to fursuit for 7 hours, help a few friends with an interview, and got a Cowboys win on my first time watching them in full fursuit. Oh, and I'm now 1-1 watching them in Chicago. I can't be happier with how yesterday went.

Teams are adjusting to dak and the offense. They are playing good and bad defenses. There have been lots of injuries.

The cowboys have put up lots of points, and their losses have been close. I don't get why people complain about dak and the offense not scoring 7 every time they touch the ball.

They are the number 1 offense in the NFL

I think some of you are too harsh on this team.

You need to think about what this team has gone through in injuries, COVID, and suspensions. No team on this team has worked together for a stretch of more than 2-3 games.

This 11-day stretch came at the absolute worst time.

This was a big win. And I look forward to the run they will make after the break with a full slate of receivers, D-line and secondary.

The silver lining is that a lot of young players got thrust into starting roles and gained valuable experience.

Exactly, this was a must win, and the team delivered. Who cares how it looked as long as we win. Nobody (outside of this board) is going to look back on the game and question if it was a good game o not. They'll see a win. And a win we needed.

In most cases, I'd agree that a win is a win. Especially in NO. However, our dysfunction was on display for everyone to see. Nothing has changed and all of a sudden we will be in for the fight of our lives with these next 4 NFCE games. Our offense looks horrible compared to where it was. Our D does fine against the pass but we cant stop the run.

And I never want to hear again anyone question the value of Amari Cooper. His loss was huge! Even if he doesn't get a catch, he frees up others.

Why is it that the offense looked horrible rather than the saints defense matched up well against them. They shut down the run and tackled everything on the spot. Pollard and zeke were not breaking any tackles. They usually do

Exactly, that's the role of a number 1 WR. Make defences focus on you and leave others open.

Mike McCarthy needs to take over play calling during game. Let Kellen be creative and design plays, but not make game decisions.

I dont think Dak was very good tonight. But again, the Oline and run game continue to struggle. Zeke is garbage. Might currently be the worst RB in the NFL at this point. I dont even know why Moore continues to hand him the ball.

Defense is going to be ridiculous when it gets healthy.

LOL. You're the same guy who said "i dont care about stats, i care about wins" now you're talking about ugly wins. News flash. A WIN IS A WIN. Especially on the road.
I didn't say I was upset. I just said I'm not overly excited about it.

In the stats column we:
  • Had fewer offensive plays
  • Had fewer yards, running and passing
  • lost time of possession
We only won the game because of turnovers; the offense was pretty much ineffective for the fourth time in the past five weeks.

I'll take any win but we are not winning any playoff games with performances like this.

Last night saints team missing their #1 QB and both of his tackles. Backup QB put a splint on his throwing hand. With the exception of two of our offensive drives....they were fully in the game.

So let's not get too carried away by our own challenges. Everyone is having them.
