Is there any question Dallas needs to keep Gallup?

Mahomes couldn’t win without help around him either
They lost the SB last year because they couldn’t protect him
Elway didn’t win a SB till he got a great running game
QB always get credit for winning a SB but none of them won without talent around them
Brady has probably done it with the least talent but even their bill always had good defenses

This is the most bizarre example to give.

Mahomes can win games by himself. He does it all the time.

Todd Bowles our scheming them in the Super Bowl of all games doesn’t prove your point.

That is not consistent of Mahomes career. He is a carry the team on his back type of player.

Dak is just back to what he has consistently been his entire career and 1 Super Bowl loss for Mahomes doesn’t prove your point.

The guy was getting to Superbowls while watching his entire team collapse around him and single handedly bringing them back in playoff games..

Dak does it 1 time out of 4 games against the Falcons in 2020 and y’all act like he’s a elite player.

He has some mighty good receivers around him and his trying to win it on his own is why the bucs beat them and is why they haven’t play as dominate this year
Teams win Super Bowls and even the best QB b no reds guys to get open

He has Tyreek Hill, Kelce, and a bunch of scrubs. It’s been that way his entire career.

Mahomes is great for 2 reasons.

1. Andy Reid is unbelievable.

2. Mahomes can improvise better than anyone that’s ever played this game.

Part of the reason Tyreek Hill is so good is because Mahomes makes defenses cover him for long periods of time.

My issue with Gallup is while he can make great acrobatic catches, he can be shutdown by a good corner. It seems like there are number of plays where a DB is draped all over him and he can't separate. Dak has issues with wideouts who can't create seperation.

Name one qb who doesn’t have issues with WRs who can’t create separation. And Dak throws into some of the tightest windows I’ve ever seen. You even watch the games?

One of the best Te in the game
And one of the best WR’s in the game
No help at all
I do agree that he can extend plays that helps hill
But that’s also costs them games this year from him turning the ball over trying to extend plays

They're already over the cap and Gallup is going for $ as a 1 or 2.

Gallup was gone when Lamb fell to the Cowboys.

WR3's are easier to find than OL and they need serious help on that OL.

Does he deserve a big contract with Dallas. Yes. Would it be in the team’s best interest to keep him? Without a doubt. Will we be able to keep him? Unfortunately I see no way we can afford him.
You can always afford any player you really want. Stop the nonsense! If Jerry Jones wants he can have with creative use of the salary cap. I for one want Gallup, he catches are electric.

It has been proven to me that this offense, and QB, needs Cooper and Lamb and Gallup is a luxury that they cannot afford because he's getting in the 8 figure area this off season.

We are a better team with Gallup and absolutely should keep him. The crappy part is he is a UFA next year so if he does leave we get nothing.

Trade Zeke and we can
Don't care if we get peanuts
Get that damn salary off our books
Give it to Gallup
Draft a decent rb to play alongside Tony P

Nevermind, Zeke's '22 Dead cap is $30M :omg:

Drew is a god but that’s insanity.

Watch Lamb with the ball in his hands and it’s no comparison. He’s the most talented of the three.
Lamb is unreal. The most gifted out of our WR’s.

Gallup’s intangibles and talents are different, but could be a starter anywhere in this league with his deep ball prowess, catch radius, and unreal sideline skills. I can see why Pearson feels the way he does.

Gallup and Wilson are gone next year

Gallup is good but Cooper and Ceedee are way better

I think Wilson is back. They'll view him as a cheaper "Gallup" type. I can't imagine Wilson getting any really big offers that make him too pricey for us.

From the day Cooper signed his contract with an out in the same year as Gallup was to be up for FA, it was going to be one or the other and nothing has changed. Which it will be may not be as set in stone as many are assuming
Correct.

When the Cowboys refused to reconstruct Amari's contract this year in order to help create more cap space this season, they clearly showed they are willing to cut Amari Cooper but instead sign Michael Gallup for cheaper if Gallup agrees to work with the team on a new friendly contract.

We will all find out as soon as this season is over. The NFL 2022 new league year begins on March 15, 2022. If the Cowboys still have Amari Cooper on their roster by the 5th day (March 20) of the new 2022 league year, Amari's $20 million salary for 2022 becomes fully guaranteed, thus cementing the Cowboys plan on keeping Amari Cooper. If the Cowboys renege on his contract and decide to cut it before the 5th day (March 20) of the 2022 new league year, we will all have our answer as to how the Cowboys will choose to keep Gallup instead.

Time will soon tell who stays or goes. I have a feeling many are going to be surprised or disappointed. Cowboys know they need to create cap space for next year and the following years going forward if they want to try to keep a playoff competitive team intact.
