That was based on last year.

What's the record this year so far under Dak?

8 - 4.

You want to get rid of Dak. Why? Because he hasn't led the team to an undefeated season? How about 10 - 2? That's still not good enough for you?

You do know this team's key starters on Defense and some on Offense have either been injured most of the season or sick, right? They are barely coming back now. Why don't you be a little patient (and appreciative) and wait and see how these last remaining 5 games turn out now that those season-long absent key veterans are coming back? This Dak-led team just might surprise you.

If you want to argue that Dak and several others are way overpaid and how it's going to hurt this team come next year and beyond? I'm right there with you, but don't be an ungrateful sour puss just because you personally don't like this QB. He's not perfect. He actually gets greedy on the field and tries to go for the homerun once too often, thus resulting in costly mistakes. He's even admitted as much recently (which is a good thing since it shows he understands what he's doing wrong and what he needs to do to fix what he is doing wrong), but he's a very good QB (Top 8 easily in the NFL) and improving every year. Be patient and a little supportive this year. All of the team needs our help and support.

Sounds good to you? *reaching out with a fellow fan friendly handshake*

The strange paradox (compared to last year) is that in the next couple of weeks, with the defensive triumvirate of: Micah, DLaw and Gregory we could be looking at the offense being enabled by better field position and reduce the pressure and need for Dak to take risks.

They played a non-QB, you see what happens when they play franchise QBs: big plays for TDs, no run defense and always giving up game winning drives.

All we need is the OL to be back in form and the team is a top dawg.

I remember Dak breaking records against the patriots this season too

Dakota is the one Qb this year that Belicek had no answer for...which makes these last 5 games even harder to understand, unless the calf is in worse shape than we know, or just a mild slump the team is going through

The Pats were NOT today's Pat's!
They were banged up on defense losing 3 starters during the game on defense.
TD called back hurt them as 21-7 become 14-10
Play the same game today and Dak will look well like he looked against the Saints.....

Caught the Pats at the last point before they righted the ship. Our offense played well that game but they would have been ground up if they played them again this past month

That’s why momentum and trending upward is so important. Some of the Pollyannas here don’t want to believe that......but having rest the next 10 days should give the Cowboys no excuse not to right this ship

This ship as you call it due to the fact it's in the NFC LEAST will make the playoffs and go one and done.
Our offense will once again show its ineptness due to Prescott.
Let them sell dreams its free I guess and good for business here......
Truth is bad here....they don't like it won't accept it, as it hurts!

I think the injuries, congested schedule, losing coaching staff, was just a lot. They need time to refocus and gel again. I’m expecting a big game against Washington. No more excuses now. They have a mini bye and time to prepare and focus

We’ve seen this team do well even without Lawrence .....and Diggs and Parsons still wet behind the ears

If this team is at full strength and healthy we could see a run starting. 5 games left in the regular season is enough to get enough momentum to a great playoff run......just have to stay healthy and I think that the offense can get back to where it was AND the defense can at least be average enough to hold their own

Yes, everyone know having one defensive superstar is more important than having a top tier QB. Just ask J.J. Watt, or Khalil Mack, or Aaron Donald, or T.J. Watt, or Miles Garrett, or Nick Bosa, or whoever else I'm forgetting. Now let's try and add up all the Super Bowl trophies those guys have.

Defense wins championships.

Average qbs rarely do. Eli and Flacco are exceptions, not the rule.

Eli, Flacco, Dilfer were all average QB's who benefitted from a great defense. This is what the brain trust of the Cowboys fail to realize. Dak isn't Brady or Rodgers, will never be.

Did y'all forget so quickly what happened to last season when Dak went down with a season ending injury during Week 5?

gave Dalton credit for the giants win as he threw 2 td's with no preperation leading upto the game, dalton was knocked out of the eagles game in 2nd qtr but was uo 9-7 so i gave the loss to the backup who scored zero points in the second half.
with dak 1-4
with dalton 5-4
with scrubs 0-2

Your right maybe if Dalton played the full season we win the division. But that's speculation what we do know is we didn't win with Dak at the helm and did ok with Dalton and horrible without either.

Dak-hating trolls are on the loose.

It is very easy to want to cover up how inept Dak is by saying that those of us who see the truth of how Dak is, we are Trolls, they only fool themselves, when the reality is that the one who signed Dak is not because it is a elite or good QB, it is because there was nothing better at the time than a QB was needed. And what they could have better was very expensive in relation to the fact that you had to give many picks, something that the Jones do not like. and they had to pay a lot for someone average. a reality even if they call us trolls

Dak from the beginning has been inconsistent, and that is his nature, an inconsistent player does not give you the security of winning, Micah from the first day has shown what he is, he has already been consistent from the first day, and he is a rookie, he has Much to learn and improve, Dak has already gone through several processes, coaches, and remains the same, a while the spark is lit, another time it goes out, Dak is synonymous with inconsistent and average. Micah is a superstar in the making. They should start looking for another QB in the following draft that is more consistent than Dak and therefore gives the cowboys better opportunities.
