4% greater win percentage? Seriously?
That's just barely over 1/2 of a game spanning the entire season. It would take 2 seasons to net an extra win under those conditions.
I like Dak, but if your best comparison is going to be 6/10ths of a single game/season then your standards are pretty low.
Neither 40% or 36% win percentage is making the playoffs. What happens between the two really doesn't matter because arguing between a 6 win team versus a 7 win team is pointless. They both suck. The only difference between how Dak has played over the last month versus what happened over the last month of last year with Dalton at QB is that Dak can actually play better than he has, and Dalton was likely tapping into the reserves of whatever he had left.
It's okay to admit he's having a rough stretch. Seriously if 4% difference is all it takes to satisfy you, what's your cutoff? 1% better winning percentage?
That was based on last year.
What's the record this year so far under Dak?
8 - 4.
You want to get rid of Dak. Why? Because he hasn't led the team to an undefeated season? How about 10 - 2? That's still not good enough for you?
You do know this team's key starters on Defense and some on Offense have either been injured most of the season or sick, right? They are barely coming back now. Why don't you be a little patient (and appreciative) and wait and see how these last remaining 5 games turn out now that those season-long absent key veterans are coming back? This Dak-led team just might surprise you.
If you want to argue that Dak and several others are way overpaid and how it's going to hurt this team come next year and beyond? I'm right there with you, but don't be an ungrateful sour puss just because you personally don't like this QB. He's not perfect. He actually gets greedy on the field and tries to go for the homerun once too often, thus resulting in costly mistakes. He's even admitted as much recently (which is a good thing since it shows he understands what he's doing wrong and what he needs to do to fix what he is doing wrong), but he's a very good QB (Top 8 easily in the NFL) and improving every year. Be patient and a little supportive this year. All of the team needs our help and support.
Sounds good to you? *reaching out with a fellow fan friendly handshake*
