Ponder what current players you'd cut to have Watt and his four-year, $112 million contract on the roster. You wouldn't have the current team plus Watt.
Zeke, Jaylon, brown, LVE, D-law.....for starters, ponder what you'll have to cut when you want to sign CEE DEE for his upcoming payday....

and having the super duo linebacker core of Parsons w/ Watt.......even greater than the doomsday defense of the landry era.....I cringe everytime I think about it Taco bum was selected instead of......could of should of.....but its great to ponder..

If we had Watt last season our draft pick might have been too low to draft Parsons. They could've had the 19th pick (Commanders draft position).

Crap here we go again, or is that still.

It is history, can't be changed, get over it.

Yeah. Slippery slope.

Imagine taking Randy Moss, or Tom Brady. Imagine not trading a draft for Mo Claiborne and taking Chandler Jones and Bobby Wagner instead. Imagine picking Thornhill over Hill.

Every team his this. Dallas wasn't the only team that made a mistake on Watt.

Would it have matter with the x-factor JG as the head coach and Marinelli DC?

wow!!! that far back.....ripples in time for sure....lol

There’s probably a few old timers that still aren’t over that. The Cowboys always took the best player available in each round. Montana was the best player available in the third round and the Cowboys were set to draft him but I believe Tex Shramm talked Landry out of it. The Cowboys used a third round pick on Danny White in 1974 and a second round pick on Glenn Carano in 78. That was their reasoning for passing on Montana in 79.

Tom Brady is the exception in the 6th round? Moss...going back to the 90's......I was only going back just 2 years......

Agree.
I never think about it, until someone mentions it on here.
It used to be mentioned daily for years. Not so much lately, but maybe once a week still.

I swear people get over marriages more quick than they do on this subject or other missed selections. :muttley:

Taco over TJ Watt is worse than a failed marriage. It should be treated as a criminal offense.

Speaking of Thornhill, he has been a non factor for KC defense.
Will be interesting to see how Hill does for the rest of this season and then go from there.

I haven’t not seen this comparison for quite a while.

We probably don’t take Parsons if we have watt. If anything it probably accelerated the search for tyrons replacement.

but we took Lamb when we already had coop, could have Tyron's replacement right there, lamb was taken because he was the best player at that moment........not needed......could make the same argument for parsons....Im glad he didnt fall to Pittsburgh.....defense wins championships.....25 years and counting.....

Hopefully Jerry is correct, and it was not the JWB speak. That Gregory and Gallimore will be back next game. As well Hill will be back also.

This will be the 1st game the projected front 4 will be on the field at the same time.

Bad things for the NFL.

Shouldn’t surprise anyone when we have a coaching staff that didn’t adjust its scheme to the players they had.

Lamb was BPA if I remember correctly and Jerry wasn’t gonna make another moss type mistake. Parsons definitely doesn’t fall to 23 if we pass, but this year they had an excellent tackle sitting there with an aging lt who can’t stay healthy and a weak spot at lg. Plug n play day one at guard and flip to tackle when the day comes. Watts greatness means we can find linebacker help down the line in the draft.

Like it’s been discussed you can’t rue TJ Watt but then be happy about Parsons….chances are you don’t get Parsons….

How far down? Taking Parsons when we did.....we are now approaching as SB contenders.....finally got a stud at LB.....could of had 2.....one at least....to be honest I was hoping for either slater or parsons.....so we got one of them

We took him @ 11? How wide is you super bowl contender slot. All I’m saying is if we time machine back to get the steeler player you obviously love it changes the trajectory of this franchises needs.

We'll what trajectory are we at after 25+ years? If you can find a time machine or build one.......yea lets go back and get Watt when he wasnt a steeler player yet, then we can go back and get everyone else we passed on......lol
