As being a critic of Dakota, I still have to ask, “ would we ask Aikmann to run more”?.....Dak’s youth and legs are no longer what they were. A franchise Qb with no viable backup has to remain healthy and upright

Allman was never mobile. In today's game, it is all about the mobile QBs. So the answer to your question is yes. Running has been part of Dak's game and needs to return.

To beat Washington, Dallas needs to put together an excellent game plan and execute it well. Don't let the 5 and 6 record fool you. Washington has some good talent. I've seen several of their games. This Taylor Heinicke has proven himself to be a capable quarterback. I've seen him make tight throws. I'm seen him improvise and make something out of a busted play. I'm not ready to anoint him the next Billy Killmer just yet, but Washington may have found their guy. If he keeps improving, he could be the QB they build their team around, and that's a team that has a chance to be a legitimate competitor. The other thing I noticed about Washington is they have a defense that can make stops. Yardage gained against them is yardage earned.

I'm not labeling them elite, but I wouldn't call Denver elite either, and look what they did to us. Washington, btw, gave Denver a way tougher game than we did. They'll be at home and fired up in front of their fans, and will have a high incentive to knock the Cowboys down a notch when we have a 3-game lead. Their goal will be to sweep us and then get help from one other team beating us, and that would give Washington the NFC East lead.

This game is about as far from an easy game as you can get. It's going to be tough, but this Cowboys team has a lot of talent. A great game plan, plus playing our best wins this one for us, which, of course, is easier said than done. I really hope they'll prep well and get fired up. I suspect we'll see a real dogfight.

LOL.........Washington SUCKS!!!! They have zero chance of overtaking us for the division.

As good as Washington Constables have looked they are only up by 8pts :lmao2::lmao2:

You'd think it's a blowout.

Dak Haters want the Washington Mambo Sauces to be good:facepalm:

We just keep getting healthier and better. Just take care of our own business
:hammer::hammer::hammer::hammer:

We just saw what getting Lawrence back did for this defense this week. Now were are getting Gallimore and Gregory back. LOL

This defense is going to be top 5. Then we get Wilson back at SS and we will be ready to go.

Exactly. Dak will never be a franchise pocket QB. You either are or aren't -- being a good pocket passer isn't something that QBs start developing in their late 20s, if they weren't to begin with.

Dak's running game, whether a designed rollout or an option after checking down, has to be there. You take that away folks and we have an awfully ordinary QB. Dak is not an Aikman type in terms of pinpoint accuracy.

Exactly. That's why I don't understand why some posters want him to be someone he's not.

That the football gods for NFL game evolution. Pocket passing QBs are no longer a sustainable resource. Free Agency was the nail in the coffin.

If you QB doesn't possess off schedule play making ability (throwing on the run) you'll not win or go deep in the playoffs.

Pin point accuracy is required inside and outside the pocket....Pure Pocket Passers are dinosaurs...Olinemamoth free agency ate All food

We better be there to play next week or Washington might hand us our butts. They’re riding a wave of momentum. This is going to be a very tough game for the Cowboys.

What a moronic statement. The QB that won last year is a pocket passer.

Can you cancel your account please.

We need to put La’el at guard against Washington. Their best players are those two tackles.

Not a popular opinion… but I would not be surprised if Washington won the division… Dallas still feels pretty much the same as they have for a looonngg time. They can beat the lower and average teams … but can’t beat the good teams.. I do think the talent is there and I think it’s still an attitude thing. The offense has seemed intimidated in couple of the last games…. Just my opinion

FWIW, we appear to be opening as 5 point road favorite. That's bigger than I would have guessed.

first thing we have to do is stop the run,we cant give up 4-5 yards on early downs.
