Ya know....I keep reading this over and over....and I don't disagree.

But what does "best route runner in the league" mean?

It means very few teams will play man coverage against him. He will attract multiple defenders, which opens up the rest of the offense.

Cooper is a really interesting player because he changes the way defenses have to play more than he takes over games by himself. He's not going to out muscle a DB on every deep ball like Moss, prime Dez Bryant, or Calvin Johnson did, but when he's on the field teams can't bring their safeties up to the line because he will just run by just about any CB who tries to cover him in man by themselves.

He's also so good at beating press coverage that he forces teams do back off the other receivers because man press is an all or nothing gambit. Both of these things in turn contribute to opening up running lanes, unless the team has a dominant run stopping DL like Tampa or the Saints, which in turn opens up play action which is where players like Gallup really shine at stretching the field.

The only WR in Dallas history that I'm sure forced bigger changes in defenses was Bob Hayes. Not that Cooper is the best since him, just that he forces a ton of adjustments that open up every other aspect of the offense.

If your QB can't produce with Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz and our running backs then you need a new QB.

You still don’t get it. It’s about trust. Prescott doesn’t like throwing interceptions. He’d rather hold onto the ball. He knows you’re a Cooper is going to be so he releases it earlier. Look at the whole picture

Dallas running game has not been good, prior to this fall off Cowboys were one of the top rushing team so this notion that Moore does not want to run is a load of BS. Carries of 1 or 2 yards which is what we have been getting only helps kill drives. so yes he will pass on 1st down instead of running 100% of the time which in my view is pretty stupid and predictable. OL needs to get going in the run game and Dallas will run but he is not going to run it 35 times when we are not picking up yardage/

I truly believe he’s the game changer. Prescott absolutely trust him. The perfect route runner. We’re not the same team on offense without him. Prescott and Amari stay healthy , This team win the whole thing

They’ve gotten behind in games and asked Dak to go win it with his arm.

The worst part is they barely used Pollard with a 1 legged Zeke and 2 of our best wideouts out.

The problem is WHY.
You saying this group of NFL linemen can't block a run? Or does it make more sense that we are not scheming and game planning an efficient effective versatile run game plan?

Maybe a bit of both, but I see ZERO adjustments, zero creativity. I see the same run up the middle, and us crying about how our run game don't work. Or worse fat Zeke.

Again...you lay the WHOLE ENTIRE blame on the o-line? I think that is pretty narrow minded.

You’re going to get stuffed a lot.

Run game is a commitment. We committed to the run against New Orleans and while they stuffed it when eventually hit the home run on them.

Center and left guard play has not been good, they are getting pushed back and allowing penetration into the backfield and there is not scheme that allows for that to happen and be successful. This exaggeration of always up the middle is a load of BS, Cowboys have ran outside as well and found the same crap of Dline, LB coming up and making the tackle. No it comes down to 2 interior lineman doing their damn jobs. As for fat Zeke? outside of the 1 run Pollard was avg 1.5 a carry. 1 big run does not make a run game. I want to see Dallas and these Oline players step up, hell even Zack Martin has said they are not getting it done.

a productive run game is keeps you in 2nd and 3rd and manageable. 1 to 2 yard runs are not going to cut it. Bad run games get stuffed quite often but when Dallas has been successful running it this year we are keeping ourselves in 2nd and 6, 3rd and 2 which are very manageable situations. Run game is about being effective in rushing the ball.
