What happened to the offense that went 7-2 this year?

I think the coaching mindset changed after Dak got hurt. I think they're sort of restricting him from running, as explained in the last post. It's more dangerous than letting him run though because it means he has to take an extra second or two to see if someone is open rather than just running. By that time, a dlineman will catch up to him than if he just runs.

Was there a facemask on Wash to Parsons on that long td pass?

On the 2 pt conversion, it looked like the qb stepped out before touching the pylon with the ball.

I think they need to take the training wheels off Dak

I am listening to local radio. A great reminder on why I can’t stand Broaddus. That guy is a total clown. A guy called in to talk about the salary and how it might be a strain on Dak, meaning it is a lot of responsibility. Fatso Broaddus attacked the guy. I can’t stand him.

Well, a win is a win. Always nice to beat a division rival on the road, and beating Washington never gets old. Especially since we got swept by them last season. With that said, Dak, as much as I like him, was terrible today. Luckily, the Cowboys have learned to play defence and Micah Parsons is a true werelion (would help if LVE played like a wolf along side him). But Moore needs to simplify things for Dak. Let him run more. I have no idea why they just realised late in the game that Dak is more effective when you let him run. That's where he's at his deadliest. You must let him run as well as throw. It freezes the defence, and he's a dangerous runner when allowed. If we're going to win at least one playoff game, Dak must run.
Let Dak run!

The problem is the offense is not learning - its been how many weeks now.

Corey Clements isn't the answer....I thought there was a bunch of runs that could have broke to the outside if we had someone w/ some speed.

And the botched KO return @ the end...just screams choker.

I think you're right about that. I don't think it was Dak's decision, I believe the coaches told him not to run.

A win is a win especially a division win on their turf but if I'm MM, I get into the OFFENSES *** and then get into the defenses *** for letting them back in the game. This type of play isn't going to work. YOU PLAY THE WHOLE GAME
It was Dak who let the skins back in the game.

This is a great post. I think you nailed it. Moore’s play calling has been atrocious.

The defense is healthy and playing out of its mind right now. The offense has another month against a light schedule to get itself right.

If the offense can get back to even 75% of what it was early in the year and the defense stays healthy, we have as good a shot as anyone to win the NFC.

offense is fundamentally broken, how can anyone deny it

Fundamentally broken implies it is unfixable with the current roster. This same offense was unstoppable the first half of the year, so clearly the potential is there.

I agree. As stated, they're actually exposing him more to potential injuries by doing what they're doing, and I think Dak is starting to lose confidence a bit with the way he's not able to run. I noticed as he returned to the sidelines after a drive where he appeared to be rather upset. I can't help but think he's starting to lose confidence a bit because of restrictions. If I'm McCarthy, I'm overruling Moore and telling Dak to do what he does best. If he sees a Lane, take it and run.
