nothings interested reading bunch of nonsense from fans with 45 Dak threads open at the same time..jeez..

9-4 , 4 to go, 3 up in the division, headed to the playoffs ..enjoy it it doesnt last long..smh ughh

you all are soem debbie downers..

i get the debby downer viewpoint considering our record and how far up we are in division....but the offense it not playing near the level it did first 7 games.....this concerns fans who do more than just

turn TV on game time only.....but i totally get your point...and it does not last long....how fast the first 14 weeks have flown by....before we know it playoff time....the first weekend they call wild card weekend

will have 3 games on saturday and 3 on sunday.....for me that is the biggest "FEAST" of football for the whole year....just hope we make it past that weekend and at least past the weekend that follows...and into

NFC championship?...i know that is asking a lot and i am thankful we are 9-4 compared to last year debacle....but just how Quinn was able to figure out a solid defense with many of his start out due to injury

i hope out offense minded coaches can help Dak during this slump to get back to close what we were first 7 games....we will be so deadly if this occurs....killer defense and offense....remember 2017 and how

the Sheagles....some how some way made themselves better during playoffs than at any other point during the year and won super bowl? ......that would be so cool for us if that occured

i can care less what you think its insufferable around here,

nothing but the negative side of everything ..you'd think we are 4-9 and the season was over..so yes how dare us who want to try to see the positive side of the season and not nitpick every win like it was loss and find nothing but sky is falling trash talk.

You are welcome to continue your positive side just as much as they have a right to whatever side theirs is. You poo on theirs every bit as much so of course the will poo on yours.

It's a big fat poo contest. BOTH sides are insufferable.

You can't assess dak without a 5 page NFL dissertation about how other NFL players and teams suck too. It's maddening.

Well Dalton wasn't afforded any reasoning behind his poor play at times last season with 3rd string olineman so same rules apply to Prescott

Dalton is a backup with Bears.

For a reason.

Either get on board or root for Dalton's new team.

Pretty good article. Dak is better when he doesn't have time to think and knows where the ball is going but the problem with the hurry up offense is he has gone 3 and out pretty quick.

It's not a blueprint or an ohmagawd strat.
For the last 50 years of football if you can get to the QB quickly with a 4 man rush you win.
When the OL is fully healthy a 4 man rush will largely get you picked apart but it hasn't been fully healthy and teams have gotten home some with 4.

My point is about accountability which is key to success. A successful team can't have any passengers.

There also wasn't a flock of goobers blaming Dalton for everything.

Dak wasn’t beating the blitz. His OL was stifling the blitz, leaving the field compromised because of extra rushers. It’s also a testament to how good Zeke is at stifling a free running blitzer.

Even when Dak was garbage in 2017, he had the highest QBR in the league against the blitz. Teams have known this for years, but they still continue to blitz. Blitz can also be indicative of the fact that the defense is trying to generate pressure and is desperate..

Now that the RG and OL are no longer playing elite, teams are busy just making Dak try and beat them with his arm. They will show blitz and just drop into zone and he’ll be completely clueless, because of him being a system QB.

Yes, it massively impacts upon his ability to read a defense, assess the coverage and change the protection.
I recall at the beginning of this season Dan Orlovsky pointing out Dak changing the protection and play perfectly reading the defense and scoring a TD. It was against the patriots. The number 1 defense in football. And that’s just one time Dan has done that. But sure. Continue.

Oh there were
There were people grading on the same scale Dak is graded on. And Daltons biggest moment against NY he failed miserably. As he has every single times the big lights are on and the pressure is on.

That doesn’t matter to Dak’s boys. He does no wrong in their eyes.

I'm a big Dak supporter but he isn't perfect. Its the coward @$$ Dak HATERS that i find hilarious, because Dak has never done anything right in their eyes. Then... those cowardly punk @$$ Dak haters don't show their faces on this platform when he's on his game.

Make it make sense....

Teams look like they are satisfied with rushing four, and sometimes they create pressure and sometimes they don’t. But what they are doing is sitting back and letting the linebackers fill the holes if it’s a run, or dropping into shallow zone coverage if they see pass. That may be one reason the running game has slowed, teams are loading up the interior with linebackers/safeties, and using their ends to turn off-tackle runs back inside.

[bold]Using zone coverage in addition to not blitzing also seems to be a key factor.[/bold]

Have I not been saying it for years?

Dak has been getting away for years with one deep safety and man coverage, because of how good the OL and RG was.. He’s always been trash against zone, but he could check into run plays of defenses showed zone when the OL and RG were at their premiere.

This explains his Jekyll and Hyde accuracy. He’s a system QB that can make the throws when he’s decisive. He’s a one-read QB that more often than not, one can tell where he is going from the snap. Moore has to game plan to get the most advantageous reads early.

Like I said, the more the OL and RG no longer is good and falls to mid-tier, Dak will be exposed as the pretender he is. He’s a back-up that can get you wins during a play-off run when the starting QB gets injured. In fact, he’d arguably be the best back-up QB in the game, niche-ing out a long career.

But he has never been elite.
