PFF ranks him 19th. So a solid C. We need to get better inside. Him and Connor are the weak links.

Folks thinking Farnoik is the answer should really not hold their breath.

I
I like Farniok and when he’s played, he’s looked good
But I think some get too excited about his few snaps
He played one game at center in college so it’s not like he’s proven much
I think he’s more likely to replace CW than play center

Connor is gone but I’m not sold on MCGovern being better. Maybe less penalties but not as good a blocker
A C seems about right

I think Travis Frederick retiring was more detrimental to the team than many thought. He was the anchor of the line and made the line calls and adjustments.
Any Cowboys or football fan knows when Travis retired it was devastating, and affected the rest of our OL. At this point I don't really know what Zach is, but Ty is useless at this point in his career so we have lost 2/3's of our once formiable OL. Our D sucked for years until we rebuilt it, and our OL has not been good for a few years and we've done little to rebuild it. End result is no running game, and a QB that can only succeed when things around him are perfect

Here is the crazy thing........ Connor ranked #11 at G on PFF and this is factoring in his 10 holding penalties which lead all G's. The penalties are just very memorable and often ill-timed drive killing sorts. McGovern grades much lower but doesn't commit as many penalties. I think the Cowboys should draft a new center and maybe go to a veteran for the LG spot.

C. Adequate if they upgrade Connor Williams this offseason, but we can't have two barely passable players lined up together in 2022.

I agree with your points and grade, D. Also, to often he was called for illegal procedure because he did not snap the ball.
What does PFF think? Never mind. I don’t care. They are a joke. Probably have him, and our O line, ranked in the top 10.
They have our line ranked #1 LMAO

I know he’s young, but give his play in college he’s been a disappointment so far in the NFL. C-

He is underrated....as far as being part of the problem.

His play earlier in the season (I studied it carefully when y'all were trying to run him out) was much, much better.

Pass protection was a little iffy but his run blocking was solid.

Then out of nowhere he started getting pushed around which coincided perfectly with the entire offense faltering.

Can't run the ball, force Dak to read coverages which he isnt very good at....

Most of our runs are right behind him.

Denver got it on film and things were never the same after.

An upgrade is 100% necessary if they are to have any type of shot next year.

According to Jerry and company, he was to be the next Frederick as he was also from Wisconsin. I think the expectations were a bit too high for Tyler. He may eventually develop into a very good center. But, as of right now, he is average.

C- for me, he could be upgraded. #1 penalized Center. Gets bullied a lot and is not close to being strong enough to take on the best DT's. I'd say he'd be a serviceable backup and that's about it. We need 3 new pieces on the OL. LG/C and someone to begin replacing Tyron. I'd try to get a FA center that's an upgrade, move Collins to LG and draft a new LT at 24. Steele at RT.

D. He was better as a rookie. The OL was a problem the second half of the season. Penalties. Poor blocking. He was second worst on a bad unit.

Bigdo--- even Fredrick not at full strength which is reason he hung up his spikes....he was far and away better than Baidasz
Yup and it is not even close. I thought when we drafted him I thought maybe Baidasz could at least fill his shoes somewhat but it is not even close

C- at best.

He could probably be okay next year but he sure wouldn't stop me from drafting one early.
