totally ticks me off we caved into zeke---he has never played well since...his numbers and average go down every year
The Zeke holdout was strange, especially since he was top 3 in the entire NFL at his position for guranteed money when he held out. The front office basically gave him artificial leverage for no reason.

Stephen blabbed that off-season to the media about how "Zekes our boy for life, we already have the money allocated for him", "Gurley is the starting point for negotiations" so there was no way the front office wasn't going to cave in.

He only did it because he knew he could get away with it. If it had been the Patriots or Seahawks the tone to the media would of been "no we don't do holdouts with 2 years left, we don't have a history of this and will never will, next question".

While the threads continue to roll on Zeke......can we examine the offense and the OL once at for all.......just to be fair?

SF crushed the manhood, most of the time on a 4-man rush.
Middle of the OL was manhandled often, to the point of embarrassment
Dak drop backs had him under attack, often
OC known to abandon the run game, almost immediately
OC has not shown any innovation beyond trickery and prefers the Boise State finesse approach
OC approach to opponents......"I'll adjust to them, instead of opponent adjusting to us."
Offense has lost any attempt for smashmouth football, even inside the 5 yd line.
TPollard skills on the table are ignored routinely in the game plan
Both RBs shuffled more than a deck of cards, completely ignoring the hot hand
Unhealthy Zeke been forced to place his knee on the line for weeks, to no avail and at the expense of TPollard play
OC NEVER had a run game on the docket in his game plans, even when stats about the run game translate wins
OC attempting to make Dak the feature when the stats and results don't measure success

Somebody needs to show this to Moore, Philbin, Nussmeier, and Peete

Hold on now!!!!............Zeke has been FORCED to play? Its more like he refused NOT to play. The guy is too dumb and greedy to allow Pollard to show what he has earned.

Too bad because of Jerry Jones had called his bluff and let Pollard play the first 3 games we might not be here today. Pollard would have gone off and Zeke is probably off the team by now.

ah, why not?

you want him for 17 games or 10 ?

Would like to see a fresh back in the mix next season with the thought that he eventually take the job in 23…draft someone . These pre season cannon fodder won’t help . Ideally you break up the carries more evenly not run 21 into the ground then spell him . Pollard a FA in 23, let’s not break the bank again

Never said that......and wondering how you came up with that? I have to ask, then who are the coaches? Is everybody running the other way now, afraid to man up at The Star to answer reasonable questions. And if that is so regarding your horrendous assessment........KMoore should be gone in the next hour, if that's the case.

C'mon Man!!!! with that one.

Then I responded to the wrong guy. Because someone said point blank that ZEke was FORCED to play.

The idiot say over and over again that there was NO WAY he wasnt playing in any game.

And yah, Moore should be fired immediately. But you know Jerry was telling him he has to play Zeke too.

Can't cut him yet. Cap hit is too big. Feature Tony Pollard next season and have Zeke the change of pace back.

I'll say this. Zeke, on his end was brilliant for holding out to get his contract. Had he played on the current contract at the time, he would have never gotten another big contract like he did in Dallas. Kudos to him but it hurt Dallas in the long run.

Two seasons too many. He was more of a liability this season, stifled Pollard and the offense. More of the same next season, this staff, the FO in particular, coddles their pets at the expense of the team.

I hope next year is Zeke’s last but I don’t even blame him.

It’s our braindead OC and head coach by extension that continue to treat Zeke as if he’s a legit weapon.

Nobody is worried about Zeke.

Calm down CowboyRoy.....a bit quick there. All good.

Jason Witten had a lacerated spleen and played.......wasn't that noble? But Zeke hate is so overwhelming on this board and there's a lot of agitation and scapegoat searching. But if Zeke forced his way........wouldn't that actually be an indictment on the lack of accountability of COACHES.....HC, OC and RB Coach? And explain why we watching this weekend.

They can’t cut him because making him a pre-June 1 cut would require us to eat even more dead money and we are already over the cap.

A June 1 cut would result in zero cap savings.

Sydia i am not looking so much at saving money as getting another running back...Zeke dont eat no more ...he needs to be replaced

Zeke is done. And yah, the coaches are more to blame for playing his pathetic butt. And to think they had the PERFECT excuse to sit him the bench and play Pollard and they still didnt do it.

remember at the time Pollard was tearing up preseason games....what i am getting at also is....some running backs are generational meaning they play just as good year 7-10 as they did year 1 and Zeke aint one

of them....we need to not worry as much about eating dead money as replacing him running the ball....he has no speed or wiggle or power anymore

110% AGREE C-ROY....makes me sick even seeing Zeke in lineup...no speed no wiggle no power....he as much as our line is hurting our running game...sure maybe he is good blocker on passing downs

but we can find replacement for that much cheaper...i would give Pollard second contract ...lose Zeke....eat the money as a good lesson never do that again...and draft another good running back or

some people fail to realize on injured IR...Rico Dowdle who is an upcoming star RB....fast , strong and good wiggle...so either elevate Dowdle or draft another good RB....you may find a generational

back as late as 3-4th round...just dump Zeke is all i am asking

Shame how folks can be ungrateful on this level sometimes.
Zeke has carried this team since 2016.
Defenses still have 1st priority is to stop ZEKE and dare Dak to beat them.
The dude is burnt and beat up and is unable to save our weak passing attack further.
We only win when Zeke has over 100 yards so verification of the above is confirmed.
Does anyone remember those 6 games we played without Zeke?
How our offense went 15 str8 Quarters of football without a 1 TD!!!
Yes, Zeke is done time to get a new HB to carry our inept Passing attack that no defense fears.
Some really good points, If Zeke had shut it down when he got hurt instead of playing through it these whiners might not even have a playoff loss to complain about.

Even after the 2022 season Dallas would have to take an $11.8 cap hit. Such a disappointment. And Zeke knows it while laughing all the way to the bank.

Doesn't even seem like he had a 1,000+ season.
