So he wouldn't boost our offense huh. NOT the same guy as MM. SP would actually call plays and not let an inexperienced guy control the ship and run it down

This is a sneaky good point. Jerry loves Payton and would give him complete control over the offense. Kellen was forced on Mike.

This is gonna be the Jerry Jones story foe the rest of the year.

If I'm Jerry and I want a change. I'm on the phone to Sean Payton every day. I'm also talk to Dan Quinn about assistant Head Coach and D Coordinator with a pay increase.

I want my team to like who they play for.
Moore just needs to go. I think his play calling is telegraphed by the way he doesn't hide or camouflage his positioning.

It's like the other team knew every single run Zeke was gonna do. But this also falls on poor oline play.
Zach Tom C/OT/OG Wake Forrest is a guy whim I would look at in the 4th round. Watch this guy. Should be ranked way higher just on a soso team last year

a really good qb.
how many super bowls has payton gone to w/out him?
He was? He was good, not a hall of famer..it’s been 1 year, and they decided not to upgrade the position this off season except for Winston who was actually playing well before his injury 12 tds to 3 int

So why do Payton’s offenses always collapse at the end of the season?

Since 2013 they’ve scored more than 24 once in a playoff game. That was 31 vs the Panthers in 2017. He thrives off playing in the best home field advantage in the league in the regular season.

He’s not an upgrade

Sean Payton is the quarterback whisperer supposedly. Prescott needs to improve in the pocket, which includes eluding pressure and scrambling for yardage more when the play is there. I think Prescott has gone as far as he can with Moore, it's time for someone new.
supposedly....... I think Dak is better from the pocket, than when he scambles. he was awful going to his right and throwing and was slightly better running left.

all I am saying, that Payton had Brees, one of the most accurate and prolific passers in NFL history...... who made whom look good?

LOL .....talk about an offseason filled with drama. Let's not forget HARBAUGH's hanging out there refusing to shut down rumors of his desire of returning to the NFL.

Jim Harbaugh coming to Dallas and working under the Joneses? That would become A 5-alarm warehouse fire paired with a 100- vehicle accident on the road in front of it.
His idiosyncratic personality would be at odds with the front office; and despite his previous stint in the league, Harbaugh will try to bring in some of the collegd routine and procedures to eliminate the oft-mentioned "country club" culture the Cowboys are reputed to have long established there.
The players will go complain to Jerry Jones - who will then try to rein Jim in.
Halfway through training camp Jones would either fire Harbaugh- or he would quit.

Says he's under contract till 2024. Mentions he may 'retire' and then come back the year after.

So probably no hope of him coming in this year. But 2023...
An longtime NFL HC that was paired with a great QB for most of that tenure; then after they part ways, the HC takes a sabbatical before returning to coach a different team. Sound familiar

I don't see Kevin James as Payton. Maybe Kevin James as McCarthy.

It would have been great to see Chris Farley as Jimmy Johnson screaming "The Asthma Field is over there!" while pointing to the parking lot.

I see Sean Payton as some combination of Ed Norton in Fight Club and Christian Bale in American Psycho.

A docudrama chronicling the lives of Hitler, Belichick, Tom Brady and Stalin.

Water Boy II: Bobby's Bochet vs Micah Parsons
- Go all out with special effects and Adam Sandler then show real game clips of Parsons...
- Obviously Parsons wins.

The Crypt-Keeper from Tales from the Crypt as Jerry.

Chris Farley as Aaron Rodgers "I'm a loser and I live in a Van down by the river".

Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump as Romo.

The remake of Dallas with Jerry as JR Ewing.
- Would have to tweak to story to make Bobby JR's son instead of brother with Stephen in that role.
It’s a terrible choice with James. But it’s happening in “The Home Team” on Netflix lol.

I do think Payton is better than McCarthy, but not much. As BP said your record shows what you really are and Payton has frankly underperformed for most of his tenure having a HOF QB. Same with McCarthy in GB.

The real determining factor would be how much power Payton would get here. To really get things done he would need to have at least as much as BP had and around the same amount Jimmy had.

Is there anyone here that really thinks Jerry is going to give up that much power again?

Harbaugh doesn’t cost any picks and is prob the better fit for what we need. He took Colin kapernick to a Super Bowl. Let that sink in

Yea I honestly think MM was scared to run the while thing. Rumor has it he wanted to keep him around for continuity and a scape goat

How is any coach going to do it his way , when the man at the top wants to do it his way. If any player on the team thinks they can go around the coach to Jerry with a grievance than that is a huge problem. I think you hit the nail on the head , the players think they are accountable to Jones which is no accountability at all.
