Character flaws? He's nominated for NFL MotY for the Cowboys for his off-field work and not many QB's get nominated.

I was referencing another poster with the character flaws issue…..some would say that his recent comments regarding bandwagon fans, defending the refs being pelted and his family’s constant lashing out at fans are part of his character and the character of those closest to him……I just want him to play well, especially in the playoffs.

……it’s hard to deny that the fans that were the hardest on Romo are now Daks biggest defenders…….it may also be said that Romos biggest defenders are now Dakota biggest detractors

I wonder how the next quarterback will fair?…..maybe everybody joins forces and hates the guy equally
Yep

If they don’t have anymore success than Dak or Romo I imagine similar vitriol.

…..as long as he doesn’t wear hat backwards, doesn’t go to Cabo, doesn’t make 100 commercials before he wins a playoff game, doesn’t call out the fans, doesn’t get fat, doesn’t have a family of social media idiots…..he should do just fine

It probably does suck always having your name in the headlines, but it goes both ways. You're a hero and media darling if you're a Dallas Cowboys QB and you're playing well, not to mention everyone wants to sponsor you.

And if you don't squander your money, you'll never have to work another day in your life, and you'll essentially be a cash cow for the rest of your like, especially if you win a Super Bowl (See Meredith, Staubach, Aikman, Romo).

One thing for sure. After that really stupid comment about fans throwing things at the refs, low profile should be the order of the day, including family. Stay off the radar and allow for things to recede somewhat.

I am neither a hater nor lover, just as I was the same with Romo and that mess but I did lose respect for Prescott after his postgame comment. Romo said some questionable things, Aikman was a well-trained politician and never took the bait, but they were not like that. That comment revealed something about him I would have preferred to stay hidden.

What is to be gained with his family speaking out for him? I've never seen this before.

what people don't understand is that just because you become a millionaire overnight doesn't mean you automatically can ignore negative feedback. Theres people on here who hate when only ONE poster disagrees with them, so imagine thousands/millions of people doing the same.

*Super run-off sentence coming but stay with me

I assume many of us are employed, so imagine you're mostly humble, don't bother anybody, you work hard, harder than everyone else you know, and you become one of the top people at your job, you get a mega pay raise, and then suddenly whenever you make a mistake (at max 15-20 a year), you have to hear a bunch of people talk about how you suck even though 99% of them couldn't do any of the stuff you're capable of doing. Then when you say "whoa why are y'all doing this to me?" they say, "that comes with the job, deal with it. If you didn't want to deal with this, you shouldn't have worked as hard as you did to be in this position".

You left out the part about family involvement. I doubt if that scenario were the case, I'd ask my wife or mother to confront my co-workers. In fact, I've had co-workers talk behind my back because they wanted my position. I didn't complain or lash out. I recognized they were jealous and moved on.

Sometimes, you can't let people know you're upset. You keep that in-house with your family. As soon as people know they can get to you with comments, Katie, bar the doors because they're coming.

That's why a lot of athletes don't read their social media platforms.

Jerry Jones took a guy who should be at best-case scenario sitting on some bench or out of the NFL by now player and gave him (including endorsements) 200 million dollars.
Now tell me which family member won't be is kissing his @@@ publicly or privately......
Tad, Uncle Bob is making sure they get their piece of the pie.....
The "Prescott's" is very similar to the show "The Beverly Hillbillies".....see any similarities, Jerry????

Here's the worst part. If I was to tell you this is happening but ask you to guess the team, what would be your guess?

Staying a Cowboys fan takes work. I am so sick of this nonsense with this team and it is always something not really having to do with the actual game.

The Dallas Cowboys are a really bad reality TV show.

Your entire premise is based on your trolling of Romo. Now you’ve become a mirror of what you trolled all of those years crawling up Daksters butt becoming his #1 Homer. I guess you’ll be crying in a River too. Pitiful this is what it’s come too. Let me find y’all a bridge to jump off of . Good grief. Lol

ar

Well, as Jerry Jones might say, "A Bad reality TV show is better than NO reality TV show." Shrug.

My point is people here will find any reason to rip on Dak one way or the other. Had the teammates helped him, they'll say "He's weak. He needs help and can't even handle it by himself".
Sure. Just like with other players. There are also the exact opposite type of fans who will defend every single thing he does. Both are extremists. What is wrong with finding some balance between good and bad? The majority of Dak fans should be growing tired of his family constantly bringing crap up. It’s Dak’s fight and he doesn’t need friends and family rushing to his defense on social media making things worse for him.
