He had a GARBAGE OL and a non-existent RG.

That WR still produced HOF numbers, meaning it wasn’t the QB having trouble getting him the ball.

He also had the benefit of his 'realness' affording him unlimited potential and patience from considerate, thoughtful, empathetic fans such as yourself.

Weird that consideration doesn't apply to all.

What does my fandom have to do with Dak’s play on the field? So now your saying Dak is that sensitive in year 6 going on 7 that his “slump” is because of fan criticism? Well, now that I think about it, maybe that’s why he pretty much sucks on the road, unless he’s playing a pre-season roster in the last game of the season.

Would love to see what Dak would have done w/ those Stafford Detroit teams. It would have been ugly!

Lije I said, all you got to do is watch how teams have played Stafford throughout his career and how teams play Dak. I’ve never seen so much single safety high, man coverage for an ‘elite’ QB like Dak, unless it’s Dallas playing QBs like Hurts and having their CBs three yards off the WRs.

Teams dare Dak to beat them w/ his arm.We know what the results are and it ain’t pretty.

Amari literally SAVED this dudes career and the Jones boys are honestly feeding us this garbage now, especially with one of the best route runners in the game. I mean they back-stabbed Romo for this QB, so I guess them back-stabbing Amari ain’t no big deal.

I'm losing confidence that Dak will ever be the elite QB we all want. I think he can do it, considering we've seen it from him. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend like he's the worst player on Earth. We've been thru that, and that's not Dak.

No, we’ve seen stretches of play when the WHOLE OFFENSE is clicking. We’ve never seen ‘elite QB’ play from Dak, where he elevates teams consistently and is making throw after throw, like Herbert converting 6 fourth downs on a game tying TD to end the drive and going toe to toe with every elite QB in the game the brighter the lights get and when offensive trends are figured out by defenses as the season progresses. That’s what ELITE QB play is.

Funny. The guys who paid him a lot of money are now complaining they aren't getting their money's worth! Cooper is not the problem, his contract is the problem.

The truth is, if they let Cooper go they will have to pay someone else to play WR or the will have to take a step down on offense. Fix the C-LG problem and the Cowboys offense will spring to life again.

And a QB w/ better recognition skills.

Going into year 3 of his deal a decision was always going to be made about his future here. His guaranteed salary has come and went and he would of always been a high cap hit even if he had a good year here. It was going to be a restructure/extension to drop his cap hit or trade/cut him.

With Jerry and SJs recent comments on him I think it's firmly in the latter camp.
I think they will figure out what Gallup wants money wise and based off that it can make their decision easy on Cooper.

Lamb imo right now is an elite slot, above average X or Y receiver for now. I can find the stats again but his separation advanced stats are so much better in the slot and it allows the ball to get to him quickly and make him make plays after the catch.
So, if Cooper is gone and Gallup is retained they will need to find another outside receiver. Let Wilson walk as he is only a slot receiver here.

Coop has #1WR skills, but not a #1WR psyche. Dak or no Dak.

Gruden’s name may be mud now, but he knows who has the killer instinct and who doesn’t.

Enjoy that first year we got after he had something to prove.

I can understand the questions around whether he is an Alpha or not. But I also wonder if he had a QB that he knew was going to get him the ball if he would appear more interested. Personally I think all receivers begin to reflect their confidence in the offense. It's human nature not to want to give 100% if you feel it's going to be wasted.

Not at all. I knew from the get go that our receiver lineup was not good enough. But that's beside the point.

Point is, I understand you think Dak is the root of all evil, and you're wrong. Is he the best QB in the league? Not even close. Did he meet expectations this year? Again, not even close. But this constant twisting and spinning to convince everybody in the world that Dak is a total bum is just so dishonest and frankly, extremely annoying.

We have an above average QB who hasn't made the jump to the next level yet. It sucks. Especially in the Fandom culture of instant gratification. But if you were to step back and be objective for a few seconds, you might also see an extremely productive and hard working QB who still can.

Case in point. Stafford, who so many here are just gung ho about, just got his first playoff wins in his 12th year. He always had the talent. But for whatever reason, be it coaching, lack of talent, or just the fact that he likes to throw a lot of INTs at critical moments, had never reached that next level. Now he's playing in the Super Bowl on a stacked team.

Dak hasn't got us there yet, but like Stafford, there are a lot of reasons why. Some on him. Some on the coaches. Some on the org. I believe Dak still can because of the success we've seen so far, though I admit, I'm losing faith everytime we get bounced from the playoffs.

But there's a massive difference between 'Dak isn't the elite QB we expected' and 'Dak is the worst QB in the league'. And all we hear from you is the latter.
Kahlidi doesn't think dak is the root of all evil and complete bum. He tends to counter people that think dak is a top qb, supreme leader, and worthy of immense contract.
You may have put quotes in there....but i dont see him ubiquitly say that.

Cooper should be getting HALF of Schultz’s targets plus his own.

I just HATE it when Dak fires a three yard out pass to Schultz on third and 10 when Cooper is open down field. It happens 3 or 4 times per game. Cooper isn’t the problem, Dak is the problem. Coop doesn’t disappear, Dak’s brain does.
