There was defensive player on that HOF candidate list that was more dominant than DWare ,.. makes me think HOF politics and bias at it all again ..(sigh)

And yes, let's gripe and protest this as much as explosively possible throughout offseason, regular season and right back into next offseason, so these bumble heads voters
don't dare so foil this up again,.. !!

Ware wasn't just a pass rush specialist, but 130 sacks in a career for an OLB is impressive no matter what. He's fourth all-time. Meanwhile, Young is not even close to the top as a DT.

I count Bryant Young as fifth all time in full time DT sacks, behind Randle, Sapp, McMichael, and Henry Thomas. Versus Ware getting many of his sacks as a DE, with other DE’s ahead of him who would have excelled as OLBs… there’s much more of a grey area between those two. If you’re only comparing him to LBers, then the removal DE sacks drop him in that ranking. But if you’re saying you’ll take his seasons as a LB, add them to his seasons as a DE, then compare him to people who only played LB, then it’s a flawed comparison.

Who was worst broadcaster Ware or Witten or Romo? Romo is like a giddy 3 year old.

I have (and have had for a long time) a Cowboy hating Giant fan friend. I remember when they lost Ware to the Broncos and he did this thing he always does and does not realize that I can see it. He puts a Cowboy insult inside something nice to say. He thinks he can disguise the insults. Anyway he says "eh dont worry about losing Ware, he was just a compiler" I laughed so hard inside and opted out of having our 300th argument. Ware was great. He was a disrupter. How many passes did he bat down. How many fumbles did he cause. He could cover a TE as well as any linebacker. The dude was NOT a compiler.

I'll one up you. I live in Houston and legendary HOF sportswriter John McClain here in Houston (gets to vote for HOF) said on the radio a few years ago there is a contingent of sports writers in San Fran that are loud and proud that they will NEVER vote a Cowboy into the HOF. McClain single handedly got Warren Moon into the Hall and seems to be a straight up guy, even though he went to Baylol.
The fact writers should be the determining factor is bs..most are nerds or scrubs that could never make a team..but they get to vote on a player? It should be voted from players and Or HOF players and coaches..not someone that could never or have the ability to do what these players do on the field..what makes their opinion the reason a player should get in or not? Never understood why they get to make the decision...

generational players are what they are..."generational". that's why they come about a few in a generation.....

yes LT was generational for players of his time. Brady is generational. Donald is very good, elite, future HOFer, but not sure if he is generational. but I can see your point in putting him there.
LT was generational for any era..whatever time period is irrelevant for him..he would destroy the league like he did ,now or in the past..once in a lifetime..and he played against some of the best teams of all time..49ers,Bears,Skins

DWare will go into the Hall. I just thought it would be first ballot, but apparently not. Witten will be up next. Let's see how that turns out.

Parcels had us closer to a Super Bowl than anyone post Jimmy with less talent than we had this year and people wanna hate on him. Even CC
Would have loved to see what the 2007 team would have done had he stayed..that could have ended in the most epic SB against Belichek

That's right in line with Ditka's win loss record and he's in there. I agree there should be some in that are better. A few I can think of that I would put in... George Seifert, Marty Schottenheimer, Dan Reeves, Holmgren, Chuck Knox should be in and aren't. Jim Mora should be in just for his press conferences.

Denny green should be in for the greatest sports rant of all time.

Sacks are well sacks . It’s like a penalty except you also lose the down . Comparable time in league although Bryant did spend most of his time at tackle. They both deserve to be in .

Ware 138 sacks
Bryant 89.5

He was awesome. But in reality he made his biggest impact on the game as second fiddle in Denver. I’m ok with him waiting a year or two. Especially if other cowboys are still waiting.

is he even going in as a cowboy?

Harrison was the face of the Steeler defenses that won 2 Super Bowls. It's hard to know what the writers are prioritizing now but Super Bowls are always at the top of the list it seems. Plus, Harrison had one of the all-time plays in Super Bowl history with his 100 yard pick-6 as a LB. Super Bowl moments make a difference. See Lynn Swan's acrobatic catches. Loved Willis but does he have enough longevity? Hard to know who's first ballot but Harrison is a formidable choice.

that pick 6 shoulda been called back cause of the block in the back they didn't call. refs have been awful for a long time.

I can't comment on Bryant Young, I haven't watched much film on him. The argument here seems to be he was underappreciated despite being dominant.

Either way, I was arguing that Seymour is somehow below the almighty Ware. Ware was a fantastic player deserving of the HOF, but he wasn't some generational player like LT or Aaron Donald. He was a tier blow those types of guys and there is more people at that level fighting to get into the HOF.

I think Donald has become overrated at this point. People act like he's going 5 on 1 every snap.

Wow, how does Vermeil get in the Hall, but still Coryell isn't. He had three big years in PHI, one in STL, and two in KC- in 15 years. 6-5 in the playoffs. He has 11 more wins than losses. Thats a Hall of Fame coach?
Seymour and Young over Ware? Who is doing the Hall voting? Have they ever watched football?

I think Donald has become overrated at this point. People act like he's going 5 on 1 every snap.

7x first team all-pro, 3x defensive player of the year, 8x pro-bowler, 2010s all-decades team, 2014 rookie of the year

He's hardly overrated in any sense.
