You’re seeing fewer lesser QBs get to the Super Bowl these days because it’s much more of a QB driven league than it was years ago. Nick Foles was one of the lesser QBs to win a Super Bowl in recent years but he played outstanding and was the games MVP. You can’t win a Super Bowl these days with a QB who’s nothing more than a game manager.
Looking at your posts you're a committed Dak fan that doesn't see the whole picture, makes excuses or reasons (that mainly involves anyone but Dak) and I bet you're thinking ...Dak Hater.
Wrong, like the majority I think Dak's a decent/good QB, who just isn't quite good enough to win without a team around him. The East and yardage is fine but his accuracy/or confidence in his accuracy is going to mean that everything has to go right.
The bottom line is we lived on the hope of beating up on East teams to get post season home advantage....that happened in 2021 and we lost to 6th seed, let alone go up against good teams.
If you want a reflection of Daks ability check out the difference between his RTG and his QBR... oh and even our illustrious Cooper Rush got a win so don't give me this 'we need a top QB to win'.

If you look at all my posts I’m not a committed Dak fan I’ve been critical of him but he’s an excellent QB when he’s playing his best football. That’s a fact! No QB is good enough to win without a team around them. Mahomes wasn’t good enough to win last years Super Bowl behind a bad OL. Dak is good enough to win a Super Bowl but the team around him and the coaching isn’t good enough. It was the same thing when Romo was here. He was good enough to win a Super Bowl but the team around him wasn’t good enough. Like with Dak he was forced to have to carry the team too much. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t reached the Super Bowl in over 10 years because he has to carry his team.

I promise you on the Vikings forums they have a faction of fans that incessantly argue that “Cousins is elite….Cousins W/L record is…Cousins can’t do it himself” the exact same way we all see on this forum with Dak.

“Heeeeeehaaaaw, Vikings fans really think Cousins is elite!” — Dak Stans

What a dumb *** article. First off, Dak has 37 touchdowns not 27.

Secondly, the article acknowledges Dak wins 62 percent of his games and Cousins wins 50 percent of his games. They are not of the same caliber. A lazy comparison made by lazy people……
Dak is better

And they seem pretty close to all the others stats wise..again we have a good QB and did before this one also...Its crazy we have fans that still dont know what the problem is...its a 26 year huge bonfire setting everything in the room on fire as some still wonder.."Why can we not find that winning QB"...Find a winning GM and watch how fast you find a winning coach and then presto like magic your winning QB will appear!

While I agree with ya bro for the vast majority of the NFL, there's always one outlier that won't support your theory.

The outlier in this case is Joe Burrow.

Mike Brown is the only other Owner/GM combo in the NFL second to Jerry. Their structure is like Dallas's.

He is 86. Jerry is 80(or 79).

The Bengals won 2 games 2 yrs ago. And 4 last year.

Burrow tore his ACL last year as well.

Joe Burrow took 51 sacks during the regular season. And countless other hits. He won a playoff game after getting sacked 9 times.

Regardless of how the spin is attempted from the "team game" angle, this Bengals team is not even a playoff consideration without that ONE guy.

Again, Mike Brown as their
Owner/GM gives Jerry hope...LOL!

But it's only false hope cuz Dak ain't in Burrow's league.

Appealing to “QB wins” is mind-numbingly dumb, but that’s you, ain’t it boy.

Isn’t there a Wild’n Out marathon you need to watch cornflake, lulz?

I believe it's pretty obvious that Dak has played on better teams the majority of his career.
Not really. Cousins has had better defense and skill players. He has had 3 different WR's catch 100 passes. Prescotts only real advantage over him is a better OL, and from 2017 on thats debatelable

It's not positional scarcity as it is who's doing the picking. These people tried to get Lynch and were planning on taking Cook before they settled for Prescott. Prior to that, they lucked into Romo.

Aikman was a no brainer, even though Johnson wasn't entirely sold on him. Worst team in the league and without a QB has to take the QB first. That was the last time they actually took a QB in the 1st and because of Johnson doing the assembly, they surrounded him with a great team after almost getting him killed his rookie season.

Picking QB's is risky business to begin with, just ask the Jets.

I agree with there are other QB's you'd rather have but they are not available and won't be to the Cowboys.

You cannot go against the mental fixture Booger has on his center ring act, the QB. He got a bigger kick of the fans going nuts when Romo would do his Houdini act than actually winning a game. It's how he's wired as a promoter. You give him a team like the 00 Ravens or 03 Bucs and he's miserable, he has to have his stars on offense because that puts butts in seats and gets more media coverage than the best defenses ever built.

What do you think he's thinking while the young guns are blazing, Brady is having a terrific year fighting Rodgers for the MVP? He's thinking "they're talking about my QB and his slump more than any of them". That, is what is most important to him.

So, I do think we are lucky Prescott is our QB as long as that man runs the team.

From that perspective, yeah I agree. Let's not forget Dallas unintentionally used a #1 overall pick on Steve Walsh.

This offseason has been rather painful as a Cowboys fan. The reality that as long as Jerry is in charge Dallas isn't going to go deep in the playoffs is sinking in. His constant distractions and excuses just aren't holding water anymore.

I'm starting to believe some Dallas fans don't deserve even Dak at quarterback:facepalm: Hutchinson and Quincy is what they deserve:laugh:

He will continue doing what he's doing as long as he keeps being rewarded for it. He realizes that he ranks 32nd in revenue windfall if they win it all. He has to be motivated to change and I do not see that happening.

Now, Mike Brown, 86, the only other owner/GM has gotten it right. Hopes of Booger hanging it up without some health reason do not exist. At least Brown was raised in the football world like Davis, Mara and Rooney so they get it. You know who's training the successor to the Cowboys? Talk about depression squared.

The slightest perceived criticism of Dak results in a passioned defense. So Dak's good enough, but everyone else on the offense isn't. It's the classic Anyone to Blame Bar Dak.

He played arguably his best game of the season in the opener against Tampa and the Cowboys still lost. Dak was certainly responsible for some of the issues during the second half of the season but he still played well enough in some of those games for us to win. He played well against the Raiders and we still lost. If the OL doesn’t play well it’s going to affect his game.

That whole post is yet again deflecting any responsibility away from Dak. Yes, he has good games when everything's going right, unfortunately when things go wrong, or we arent able to execute or get open he just appears to lose confidence in his ability. Arguments could be made for injury, but now he's not on the Rookie Deal then the expectation becomes greater on his shoulders.....especially when chances are his receiver corp may well be diminished in 2022.

No, I really don't care about wins and losses as attributed to the QB. Your hero, Matt Stafford, just proved it doesn't matter who your qb is if you team sucks around you.

But I am shocked those that live and die by them (you) didn't factor that into the comp.
Come on, don't say you don't care once you get called out.

Just own it, sport.
