Not really. Cousins has had better defense and skill players. He has had 3 different WR's catch 100 passes. Prescotts only real advantage over him is a better OL, and from 2017 on thats debatelable
Dak had the NFL rushing leader 2 times in his career also.

That whole post is yet again deflecting any responsibility away from Dak. Yes, he has good games when everything's going right, unfortunately when things go wrong, or we arent able to execute or get open he just appears to lose confidence in his ability. Arguments could be made for injury, but now he's not on the Rookie Deal then the expectation becomes greater on his shoulders.....especially when chances are his receiver corp may well be diminished in 2022.

I just said he was responsible for some of the issues, how is that deflecting any responsibility from him? If everything was going right for him he wouldn’t have as many 400 yard games as he’s had. There’s a reason he’s had to put up some big numbers to win games. It’s not like he’s getting a lot of help from his running game.

Cousins is an inferior quarterback to most that are being paid market value. I look at it differently. I'd rather go 2-14 than pay a QB market value and never be a contender. You put yourself at a disadvantage by overpaying for an inferior QB when you have to go up against superior QBs. Every team works with roughly the same money. With Cousins, the team around him has to be that much better.
The same could be said about Matt Stafford….he was a perennial loser and got on a team with a real coach and a real team and he’s on a SB….

So, you believe that win/loss should solely go to the QB then and the teams should not be taken into account?

I honestly don't believe that wins and losses are solely on quarterbacks alone... but it works for many around here that blame ALL losses on Dak, so I guess thats the standard in these parts. Im just speaking their language.

That's who I've compared Dak with. Neither has the X-factor necessary to push their teams over the top. But with enough talent surrounding them, they likely can get it done.

You're absolutely right. That despite me thinking Stafford was always better than Cousins. But I wasn't talking about that situation. I was referring to paying someone inferior market value. Then going up against teams that have a better QB. You have to put the better team on the field. Similar to the way the 49ers keep doing to GB.

Matt Stafford isn't even a big cap hit. I think he's slightly over 10% of the cap. That further helps the Rams stack the team around him. Cousins on the other hand is over 16% of the cap. Making it harder to do the same. You want to eat up 16% of the cap? You need a better QB.

Mac Jones isn’t currently better than Dak. Right now he’s a bus driver who Dak outplayed earlier in the season. Jones is playing for a better organization under a better HC who has 6 championships. That’s the only reason he has a better chance to win a Super Bowl than Dak.

these are all excuses
In the end their careers will be defined by what they do
As I said I’ll take Jones over Dak

Those aren’t excuses they’re the facts. You’re one of those who doesn’t like Dak and will take Mac Jones or whatever QB over him. I get it!

What a dumb *** article. First off, Dak has 37 touchdowns not 27.

Secondly, the article acknowledges Dak wins 62 percent of his games and Cousins wins 50 percent of his games. They are not of the same caliber. A lazy comparison made by lazy people……
Total denial!

If we are answering truthfully there’s no way in hell you take Jones over Parsons….hell at this point I don’t think there’s a player in this draft you take over Micah. Maybe that changes in the future….
The problem is Micah Parsons career will go to waste if they don't get a QB in here that has some talent.

Depends on the definition of "Class".

If that means similar in abilities, then agreed.

But Dak is better and has more upside, imo...

Exactly, but someone’s bound to come along and say they would have been more than okay with it. A lot of Dak haters out there.

I haven’t seen anyone come along that’s said they would rather have Mac Jones over Dak and Parsons. Had we let Dak walk with the corners off the board the Cowboys would have very likely selected Mac Jones at number 11. With no viable starting QB they would’ve had little choice.
