That’s about what I would expect. But a lot of us aren’t willing to settle for the ninth best quarterback.

A top ten QB, is more than enough to win a championship. If he was top five, what would the narrative become? Oh, he's not top three.

Okay.. you're wrong..

Jim Plunkett made his first Super Bowl in 1980 - year 10 for him.
Joe Theisman made his first Super Bowl in 1982 - year 9 for him
Phil Simms made his first Super Bowl in 1986 - year 7 for him.
Doug Williams made his first Super Bowl in 1987 - year 10 for him
Steve Young made his first Super Bowl in 1994 - year 9 for him
Chris Chandler made his first Super Bowl in 1999 - year 12 for him
Rich Gannon made his first Super Bowl in 2002 - year 14 for him ironically he lost to Brad Johnson that same year.. who was in his 13th year ... also in his first Super Bowl.
Peyton Manning made his first Super Bowl in 2006 - year 8 for him.
Drew Brees made his first Super Bowl in 2009 - year 9 for him
Hell the last Super Bowl was won by a QB in his 13th year making his first..

Shall I go on or will you go ahead and take back your ridiculous absolute now?

This is not meant as an attack on you though and I apologize if it came off that way. It's attack on people getting these narratives locked in their heads and spouting them as fact without doing 5 minutes of homework.. and then having a few hundred idiots cosigning the fallacies. The fact of the matter experienced QBs are far more likely to get to the Super Bowl than the kids. But the narrative is that you gotta have a QB on a rookie deal or you have no chance. And people keep repeating it despite all the factual information to the contrary. Mahomes and Wilson are the only two QBs in the past decade to win a Super Bowl on a rookie deal. Though I guess technically you could count Flacco since he was on the 5th year option of his. I guess 3 out of 10 are better odds than 7 out of 10 in this debate? If that's what people wanna believe then who am I to rain on their parade. But I would flunk any math class that tells me that 30% is greater than 70%.

I'll give you Jim Plunkett but Theisman played his 1st 3 years in the CFL where he did win a championship and when he came back to the NFL he was the backup his 1st 2 seasons, Phil Simms missed 44 games his 1st 5 years due to injury including missing one entire season and only playing 2 games the season after that, Doug Williams did at least make the conference championship in his 1st season but was never really starter material,, Steve Young played his 1st 2 years in the USFL then Tampa for a season then was traded to SF where he was Joe Montana's backup for 4 years, upon becoming the starter he missed the playoffs his 1st season then took his team to 2 conference championship games and the superbowl in the next 3, Chris Chandler i will give you, generally a very average QB his entire career, Rich Gannon same thing, Peyton Manning (can't believe you want to compare him to Dak!) made the playoffs every year he was a starter except his rookie season and took his team to consecutive conference championship games in years 4 and 5 before finally making it to a SB 3 years later, Drew Brees didn't start his rookie season only became the starter in year 2 so actually it took him 8 years to make his 1st SB not 9 but he did get to the conference championship game a couple of times 1st....Most of the QB's on your list at least got to the championship game a few times before getting to their 1st SB...our QB can't get out of the divisional round and has trouble getting to that point if there is a wild card game involved....as for Matt Stafford, well most people always thought the Lions wasted his career by surrounding him with hardly any talent for most of it...and after getting traded he proved them right this season...we could trade Dak but any team we trade him too would be hard pressed to put as much talent on the field as the Cowboys have done for Dak for his entire career

Again, he struggled. He said it himself, nobody was comparing Dak. You went on that tantrum. I said Dak put up same numbers this year, but we all know he struggle the last half the season, just like Russ
Wilson hasn't been elite in years.

Which is the Market fault, if any of the elite qbs were up for a new contract, they're contract would make Dak contract look like a Bargain, that's how it works.
Brady was and didn't.

Lol you took 1 qb which was the exception. But Brady got his Market price too his first time being up.
Strange new world w/ the QB market in the NFL. At present, they're being forced to pay them such a huge amount that they can't win. Be interesting watching Mahomes going forward. I contend that they will not be a contender for much longer when they start having to pay Mah huge amounts.

Don't know how much it will change, the salary cap going up each year and and the way restructures get built in, teams can find ways to get players

9th best QB should still win you a SB. The team collapsed, not just Dak.
sorry, but is inconvenient. people need a single place to put the blame. team and different areas collapsing just doesn't jive with the agenda. you have to do better than sensible logic.

so are you saying that there is not a single trajectory to be a superbowl QB? wow, color me surprised, I thought by year 6 they all had to be CFG or superbowl or they were done....hmmm
