If you honestly think those SB's are Booger's, then there is little to debate. He was not the architect of those teams, he was the promoter.

Jerry hired the coach that built those teams and signed off on all the trades and moves they made or they wouldn’t have happened. You don’t think he deserves any credit?

Do you see what you are doing to excuse the lack of production in the last two decades? Pulling up the past has really has no relevancy now.

It is not what other teams have not done, it is what this team has not done in over 25 years.

If you honestly think those SB's are Booger's, then there is little to debate. He was not the architect of those teams, he was the promoter.

Those 3 SB's in 4 years are pretty special but as fans, we've been paying for that early success because this incompetent thinks it's easy and a part time GM can get it done.

The best thing Booger has done as the owner was not just hiring Jimmy Johnson but turning the team over to him and staying out of the way. Once he got back in the way, you see the results.
Yep, it’s always about what have you done for me lately.

Contrary to what some are squalking we aren’t trying to dismiss the success from the past, our focus is on the lack of success this era.

Landry didn’t receive a pass for life and neither should Jethro. But I guess Homers feel they need to defend against any criticism.

Yeah, it’s been rough since 96. But I promise any fan base that isn’t the Steelers, Packers, Patriots would kill for 3 Super Bowls in that time
To be fair it depends on whether you are a old fart or not. It's been constant humiliation if you missed the good years.

I was responding to post about 49 ers. And for the record Bengals have been in 3 SB’s. But the Bengals weren’t my agenda. That was someone else.

Right, they’ve been to three Super Bowls and lost everyone of them.

Yes they have. But what that fan was saying is that have surpassed the Cowboys success this era.

No one is trying to take away the success we had in those early years but he shouldn’t recieve a pass for life anymore than Landry did.

And he does deserve some credit for those success and some blame for lack of success this era.

There’s been one constant throughout this era.

So would you trade in our team and owner for their team and owner? If you want to live in the now and bank Cincinnati is going to keep ascending go ahead. You’re one of those who doesn’t seem to care about the Cowboys history, you just care about what’s going on right now. If you can have a better now you’ll give up the great past. You certainly don’t care about the Cowboys history.

Yea, I really feel for this generation of fans. At least us old farts have some history of golden years to hang our hats on.

It has to be somewhat like those early years in the 60’s before we won anything. Except we had one of the most respectably ran football franchise in place.

We aren’t saying that at all. We cherish Cowboys history.

You said it was time for Landry to go. Do you think it’s time for Jethro to go?

Don’t give me this “we” business it’s YOU that would give up everything the Cowboys accomplished in the 90s for a different owner. If you could go back you would’ve rather had Jerry Buss and take your chances with him. The Cowboys could have ended up the Los Angeles Cowboys. It’s not time for Jerry to go because we’re not going 3-13. The organization hasn’t hit rock bottom and we don’t have an old HC running an outdated system from two decades ago. The Cowboys were in terrible shape when Landry was fired. Fans weren’t coming to the games and the team was losing a million dollars a month. The organization is in a lot better shape than it was back then. Care to argue that?

If you don’t think it’s time for Jethro to go then I rest my case.

No tap dancing answer the question! Do you honestly think the team is even remotely close to being in as a bad a shape as it was when Jerry bought the team in 1989?

I don’t have to respond how you frame the questions anymore than you are my questions .

If you think Jethro provides us the best opportunity to win that’s your opinion. Good luck!

I have been avoiding any of your questions. You won’t respond to mine because you don’t have any answers. You just want to keep diverting and ranting to prolong this thread.

Absolutely he deserves credit but since then he has been seeking credit that he cannot he achieve because he lacks the skills and willingness to dedicate the time to the GM function. He has learned very little and especially from two HOF HC's that he could have learned more of the fundamentals from but his envy got in his way.

He puts all his time into a being a GM but he’s not a good GM. There’s a lot of GM’s that fail and it’s not because they don’t have the willingness to dedicate the time to it.

You’re prolonging this thread. In my threads I always respond. I’m no longer going to be induced for a response if you believe Jethro is what’s in the best interest for Cowboys football then we have nothing left to discuss. You have won the discussion. Lol

You’re the one who’s prolonging it, you’ve initiated most of our discussions. We have nothing to discuss because you refuse to answer any questions. You just like to divert to prolong the thread. lol

Where did I ever say he’s what’s best for the team? Let’s see if you can provide an answer for that. lol All I ever said is I wouldn’t trade our three Super Bowls in the 90s for a different owner. You’re just twisting what I said. Keep dodging my questions.
