The 2 deep safety look seems to be the new craze against”high powered O’s.”

Because it works.. Tampa and Seattle both rode that look the Super Bowl championships. I'm sure there have been others. It worked in Dallas to limit big plays under Rod as well. It's not new and the fact that it slowed down the Cowboys offense should surprise no one. It slows down every offense. Unless you have the horses to make them pay by turning underneath throws into big plays. We didn't so it neutered us. The other thing that played against the Cowboys was the lack of patience. Dak and Moore simply refused to stay patient and take the long way down the field.. 5-6 yard chunks at a time. They kept wanting to force the deep play calls even though teams were playing coverages to limit them and the line wasn't blocking well enough to allow them to develop anyway. They both need to be smarter if they see that look this year.

Tbf, the writing was on the wall once we drafted Ceedee.

Realists (me), wanted Amari gone after he wasnt on the field on the 4th down play in Philly w the game on the line and his disappearing acts on the road
TBF. The writing was on the wall when he missed games because of a personal decision. Jerry said as much.

Sure, checked down more this year bc of the degradation of our running game and the not stellar pass blocking he had in front of him.

But throwing the ball 600 times has never been considered "bus driver" qb'ing.

Brady made a career out of short passing in NE.
You’re right. The 2 deep safety coverage looks had a lot to do w/ it too.Brady throws short to set up the deeper shots downfield.Brady has had a pretty solid career predominately throwing short to set up play action.

KC seemed to figure it out until 2nd half of Bengals game.

Even if the Cowboys were planning on releasing Cooper they would not tell ANYBODY this early in the game. The Cowboys are playing mind games with the mediots at this point and letting them generate news about the Cowboys. Jerry loves having the Cowboys at the forefront of the news cycle and this sort of thing guarantees they stay there until 5 days past the league year. His just coming out and saying "Nah we're just going to redo Coop's deal to lower his cap hit for the next two years and extend him" isn't sexy and doesn't move the needle. But yall keep suckin in rumor mill farts if you want to.
Id bet money Coop is released. Jerry hasnt shown to play mind games very well. Ever. LOL

Sure they would. The guarantee is just about up, and he would willingly renegotiate for more guaranteed. He was 17 AAV the last two years, and thats probably what he would be if he renegotiated. He is very tradeable. Cutting him would be incredibly stupid and horrible asset management
LOL. Sure they would? You realize to renegotiate Cooper has to agree to the team hes being traded to right? Its not like madden where you can force trade people. There are other factors. And hes also guaranteed 20 million this season. No team is trading for that without a deal in place prior.

How are you a fan of the nfl and don’t understand what restructuring a contract means? We can reduce Amari’s cap hit by 9 mil next season and he doesn’t lose a dime

Yeah the point is Amari wouldn’t agree because he’ll get MORE in FA. He gets another signing bonus. Why don’t you quit throwing insults around and use your brain.

Dak the WR career Killer
LOL stop it. Cooper may be the QB killer. Run out of Raider nation and came here and had his best years with Dak who isnt better than Carr (according to some here) to slowly becoming worse. Seems there is one constant here. The guy who vanishes in road games and has no emotion what so ever. He doesnt seem very motivated. That just seems to be who he is. QB play is not his problem.

Why do you think a restructure means less money? They usually restructure by converting all or part of the base salary to bonus money and paying him up front. Since bonus money is spread out over the life of the contract, then salary cap goes down this year, but comes up in the future. Money actually paid all stays the same.

This works fine when the salary cap goes up for say huge television contracts........... but gets jacked when the salary cap goes down.

I think the biggest issue is the Covid one and Jerry's ego, not the ability to keep or cut Coop based on his play.

He’ll make more money in FA by getting another signing bonus. Don’t you think the team has offered to restructure already?

Because its Madden and hes tradeable. I think some people here dont realize that video games and real life are 2 different things. Its quite comical.

He would look good in a Jaguar’s uniform. 4 more years of Trevor Lawrence on a rookie deal and plenty of draft capital to build their team.

KC seemed to figure it out until 2nd half of Bengals game.

Well Hill is better after the catch than any of our receivers and Kelce is certainly better than any of our tight ends. That helps. It also bears stating that the Chiefs suffered through their own "slump" when teams started playing THEM that way. And their OC has been at it 20 years longer than ours.

Typically players who restructure get bonuses too.. You do know that right?
