Surprised how scattershot the opinions are on Mayfield. Several of you think he’s worthless, several think he’s a guaranteed starter. If Mayfield is too costly, who can we bring in to apply the pressure to Dak? I remember Jimmy challenging Aikman with Walsh and Buerlein. I remember Parcells making life uncomfortable for all his QBs. I would like to see some forced lack of complacency with our QB. I don’t want to wait another five years while he keeps crashing in big games or the Playoffs. Light a fire and let’s see how Dak responds. I suggested Baker because I’d like to see someone who has a shot and won’t destroy our cap.

He had every chance to prove it . you keep avoiding the fact mayfield was injured last season and his record against Dak hard to head is 1-0 . …. Definitely sounds like he thinks the Browns will go with Watson. There was a time when he was much more promising, and I have a hard time holding last year against him with all those injuries. Get some competition in there for Dak! Even Aikman was challenged up until the Super Bowl win.

Can't see him being happy as a backup
