Cowboy's fan view of signing LVE....

"He's a total JAG and liability, why does this team keep ignoring critical needs and settling for nothing? I'm done with gree agency"

Opposing fans view if their team signed LVE.....

"I like this signing big time playmaker his rookie year, but regressed some with injuries. Low risk, high upside signing for us, for a player that addresses a big need"

Still haven't added anything to improve the team. Just bring back the same group of losers.
no need to panic yet....in a couple of weeks, their will be players out there begging Stephen for those 1 year vet minimum deals! Jerry and Stephen got this!!

Patriots were looking to sign him and then cowboys put in their offer in which he accepted.

So LVE flashed, and gets paid. Some fans are just as bad as the owners; see flash, give cash.

Only $3 million. Funny. In the NFL $3 million for 1 season is nothing. But for many people it is a lifetime of income. But that's another story.

$3 million on a 1 year deal for LVE is a bargain. I have no issues with it. It means they don't have to use a good pick on LB if they don't want to. That's one hole in the roster that can drop in priority.

I believe he made 2.1 million last season.

this is a win for Dallas.

That's just false. We are likely going to draft a guy like Nakobe Dean or Devin Lloyd. Plenty of MLB in this draft.
Forget the draft, that's one thing that we get right thanks to Will McClay. Where we fail is adding free agents to the roster that will help us get over the hump. I'm talking day 1 free agents.

Really if its what Todd Archer stated up to a 3 mil deal than honestly thats pretty good signing
I went right to the end of the thread to look for numbers. If this is accurate I agree with you. I am no fan of LVE's play of the last few seasons, but for $3M (or likely less if it is "up to $3M")as a borderline starter/rotation guy on a team with no LBs I think it is pretty good also. If we luck out with a LB in the draft or bring in a Wagner or someone else, at that price he can be a backup or play limited snaps and still be worth it. Plus, he did play better in the playoff game than he did the rest of the season

Wagner is a pipe dream. Dumb & Dumber are afraid to bring in guys they don't know
I guess seatles dumb is for cutting him huh how can they allow Russ and Wagner and the entire LOB and other leave how stupid!! oh wait the DC should sign them that would be smart.

all these players CVUT, traded, moved etc etc. all were no longer wanted on their prior teams..i guess they all dumb and dumber..for every move you think is good for the one signing anther team has been weakened they are losing these alleged great talents, its paper brah they are the top names in week 1-2 of FA then the real moves will be made to build out rosters.

The Cowboys literally had 2 other LBs on the roster - Parsons and Cox. I expect them to sign another LB and draft another one before the season begins.

There could be very little guarantees in this contract - he could be cut in camp. Lamenting signing a 4-year starter for a peanuts contract is funny.

No problem. Dirt cheap really. I know he is no super star but he knows the scheme and played decently late in the year.
