Rotational player, hard to complain about the signing. Keep in mind that position can be rotated between Parsons, Armstrong, and Fowler. I'm sure we'll add another edge player in the draft too.

Based on what we've seen. We are drafting online round 1 for sure. They don't have the balls to take Karlaftis

Fowler is awful. This is a typical Cowboys bargain bin free agent signing. He may not even make the team. Take away his draft status (which was now forever ago and irrelevant) and I doubt anyone is excited about this signing.

This is classic Cowboys. Instead of signing a good pass rusher they sign complete trash between Armstrong and Fowler. You could have combined that money to get someone at least half decent!!!!

Very Quinn signing here.
Can almost mirror Fowler with Parsons just from different formations which OCs really hate to deal with.
Hard to defend a transitional defensive alignment, and Fowler is in no way comparable to Parsons, but he will bring the flexibility that Quinn covets most.
Great signing, and great day.

There’s more to playing defense than sacks. Fowler is a decent signing. He’ll be a pass rush specialist on passing downs. He’s no longer even a starter in the NFL. Dlaw is a borderline pro bowl level player even without the sacks.

I’m starting to think you don’t really watch football, just google stats.
Borderline Pro Bowl means NOTHING anymore.

I figured it would be OL, DL or possibly LB. But now OL is definitely our biggest need. Tyron is coming to the end of line, Collins has been released and Connor Williams needed to be replaced and we rightfully let him walk in FA. It obviously depends on who is still on the board when we pick, but looking at most projections it appears need and BPA may line up for us at OL.

What sucks is when we try this, we get like 6 sacks and a one year deal. When other teams do it, they get 18 sacks out of Robert Quinn.

True, but at least Quinn gave Dallas 11.5 sacks in his one year of playing here too.

I don't expect us to worry about OT yet. We'll want to see what Ball can do before making that a priority IMO. OG, on the other hand, is a need. Since we cut Collins, let Williams walk and haven't re-signed Nsekhe, I expect us to make a similar move to the ones we've made the last three years where we sign a cheap vet with starting experience (Cam Fleming, Cam Erving, Nsekhe).

He’s a fine depth player, but he doesn’t replace what they’ve lost. Neither does James Washington. The Joneses have no idea how to maintain a team from year to year. That’s why they’ve made playoffs in consecutive season precisely once in the past 22 years and zero times in the past 15.

Just pay attention to the player and the lineage and how he can find a role with what Q wants to do.
Why do you think we brought in the safties and Neal last year, its no easy task trying to achieve the flexibility that he wants to achieve, but I understand how huge that is if he can achieve it.
Fitting the right pieces doesnt always have to come with the familiar name.
