I don’t consider reneging on an agreement as ‘understandable’. Even worse was going back on a second deal.
He had not signed on the dotted line. Nothing was official. Just because an NFL talking head comes out and says it’s a done deal, it’s not a done deal, until the contract is signed. What Gregory did was much worse. We baby sat him for 4 years, while he did NOTHING. He should have expected wording in his contract that held him accountable. Ladarius Smith didn’t owe Baltimore anything. He saw the market exploding, BEFORE he signed on the dotted line, and smartly changed his mind. I thought when it was speculated that he signed with Baltimore, he was signing for way to low.

If he comes to Dallas and helps make our D dominant will you hold this against him?

Build the D as STRONG as possible. Great offense, gets beat by great defense, almost every time. If you know your NFL history, you know this!!

Stephen probably tried to slide in the contract Smith had to pay for his parking pass.

LOL we can't afford him but apparently the Vikings who kept Hunter and his $18.5 million roster bonus can?

This franchise is beyond stupid. They really think they are fine at edge with Lawrence, Basham, Armstrong and whatever bargain bin loser they sign two weeks from now and those mid to late round picks they throw at DE in the draft.

It's shades of when they tried to tell us a WR led by Allen Hurns was more than sufficient. That turned out great.

Ok, back to hating things again after seeing that tweet.

Mods, delete my sunshine and rainbow post about signing all 3 of the big remaining FA.

Guess I'll cheer Mr. Firecracker signing in the future.

We must be conducting secret meetings.

You called it. The Cowboys are set at pass rusher/defensive end. They may not even draft one until the 5th round. You know the scary thing is the Cowboys lucked into Parsons. They really wanted one of the corners. The team is so predictable. They are about to waist a first round pick on a 2nd round left guard.

Fowler is an end. He isn’t playing LB here.

Supposedly they’re still trying to trade hunter even after paying the signing bonus.

Dallas is making a "virtual" push for his services. The plan is to not allow him to logoff from the virtual meeting.

That'll show the Vikings!
Jerry and Stephen are trying to use the Vulcan mind meld trip on him. That doesn't work unless you are Vulcan.

That seems idiotic on their part. If they trade him now, they have to eat the full 18.5 million unless I am missing something. It wasn't guaranteed base salary that could be transferred to the new team, it was a roster bonus. Once they pay that, it's on their cap.
