Players Cowboys show interest in 2022 draft

Definitely keeping an eye on him. Where does he go though? Ive seen him anywhere from 3-5

Im 100% biased and fully stating that Jurgens is 1 of my pet cats…but I’ll be surprised if he makes it out of the top 100. The center position is a premium and Jurgens doesn’t lack much in my opinion

Not sure if it’s the most reliable source, but saw this…

“HuskerOnline
also learned that the Dallas Cowboys are expected to bring in Jurgens for a private visit in the coming days.”

Would be very excited about this. Jurgens could possibly push for the starting C day 1. His movement ability at the C position might rival Jason Kelce.

Don’t ask me what this drill is but kinda fun to watch a 300 pound man do it

I am not sure they pick Linderbaum if he is there. Many said arm length doesn't matter at center but the Cowboys have always preferred longer limbed Lineman. We ll see.

I like Williams, he's a fireplug. 16 TFL, 12.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles last season. He had some battery charges against him at one point but I think they were dropped. My only issue with him is most of his big games came against teams like Liberty and Austin Peay. He did have a nice game against Alabama last season with 1 sack, 1 TFL, and 6 tackles. He's got a lot of that positional versatility that the Cowboys love so much.

He's quite the all around athlete, top production... Why isn't Williams rated as a first rounder?

NFL has Sam Williams Ranked around 47th with a starting grade he would be good value at 56. Ran a 4.46 40 at the scouting combine.

Overview
Despite his troubling performance versus the run, Williams' pass-rush flashes tend to leave a more lasting impression. He was often overmatched and pummeled at the point of attack, failing to play with the effort and grit needed to stand up to SEC linemen. As a rusher, he gets off the ball quickly and attacks the pocket with the bend and hand work to gain entry into the backfield from a variety of angles. He projects as a potentially dangerous sub-package rusher who will need to get stronger and more competitive against the run if he wants to be considered for early down snaps.
Strengths
  • Snap quickness to fire into B-gap.
  • Agility and acceleration pursuing in space.
  • Races upfield low and with lean.
  • Flexibility to bend and flatten the edge.
  • Alters speeds, attack angles and entry points in his rush.
  • Inside transitions are sharp but fluid.
  • Tremendous upper-body twitch and flexibility.
  • Active hands stack slaps and counters when needed.
  • Edge-to-edge rush quickness will make blockers work hard.

"Draft the rush and worry about the rest of it later. He has the talent to get after quarterbacks and that will always have value in the league. Always." -- Personnel director for AFC team

Well, that explains why he's not a first rounder lol. Pummeled, is not a good thing.

But still, the sacks! I wonder whether someone with those stats and athletic metrics would actually slide to 56 though

Sam Williams' character issues are well known, and BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1 reported months ago that they pushed the talented Williams out of first-round consideration even though he has a good skill set to go along with production. The character concerns, however, are even more concerning than that, with one director of player personnel calling Williams "Greg Hardy 2.0." Sources from multiple teams said Williams' character issues are so bad, he could go undrafted.

Another Gregory pick lol Dallas being cute again

Yikes. That explains the timid interest. Is it something he's done (like a Josh Ball), or just the way he behaves (like an Everdeen Griffen)? Though I guess those things are usually the same problem

He was expelled from high school for a year because he and a bunch of teammates got caught playing with a knife. The other teammates were expelled as well. At Mississippi he was arrested for felony sexual assault but those charges were later dropped. Who knows the real story and he's obviously had some issue but he's also one of those kids who's had a real hard life. Like Blindside type story. I think calling a 22 year old kid coming out of school Greg hardy 2.0 is just hyperbole. He's a strong second round candidate for a pass rushing specialist.

on the mock draft simulator he slides to round 3 but who knows, pass rushers get pushed up.

We know Parsons had issues both in HS and in College, yet, he seems like the model teammate. It's a case by case situation, Gregory's issues were drug related, totally different case study here.

Yeah, we've got to take all these reports with a grain of salt. When looked into, Parsons maturity problems were mostly silly kid ****, that someone took seriously for... reasons.

Rumors won't prevent me from liking a prospect
