Oh really let's take a look...
1. Resigned Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn = Win
2. Reworked Lawrence's contract = Win
3. Franchised Schultz because they had to because of Jarwin's injury = Win
4. Got rid of a penalty feast of an O-line in Connor Williams = Win
5. Resigned a two solid safeties in Wilson and Kearse = Win
6. Traded Cooper who is injured a lot, disappears in road games, and they save cap space = Win
7. Let a headcase in Gregory walk who get more offside penalties than sacks =Win
8. Restructured both Dak Prescott and Zack Martin's contracts to save 22 million in cap space =Win
9. Let go of an aging kicker who misses a lot of chip shots = Win
So if this is a horrible off season then I'd love to see what a good offseason looks like because so far they've made a lot of changes for the better.
It's post like this that crush my dreams of Cowboys Stadium(I won't say the corporate name until I get endorsement checks) being 80% empty and Cowboys merch gathering dust on store shelves.

I want all you blind homers to not complain about lack of talent when Dak struggles and we have a middling record

You all will be first in line making excuses

Yep.
Guaranteed, like death and taxes.

You Got it Bro !!! But I want you debbie downners to admit it when we are bettler than middling and Dak is tearing it up. When Zeke is on pace for 1300 yards and 13 tds

When Cee Dee has clearly established himself as a bonafide #1 reciever. And Micah and Trevon is proving last season was no fluke

Guy gets attacked for believing?

To those that don't believe why watch the games? Why cheer for this team? Why log on to Cowboyzone to chat with us real fans? Normally when people don't believe in something they stay away from people that do.

I believe I'm going to love this team no matter what. I believe I'm going to follow this team no matter what. I can't control what the FO does all I can control is my response. I'm not a Jones fan, but I am a Cowboys fan.

This argument gets tired and lame year after year.

You can be a fan of a team, you can root for a team, you can get some enjoyment out of watching them play but still think they are a mediocre franchise run by two men who really don't have an idea on how to build a legitimate championship roster or hire great coaches.

Fans criticize the teams they root for. It's been that way since the beginning of professional sports.

Nobody “knows that”. And nobody is claiming such a thing. But being a fan does not require me or anyone else to blindly accept everything the team does. Nor does it prevent me from questioning or criticizing when I feel they’re wrong.

If you want to do ‘mindless fan’, that’s your prerogative. But it’s also mine to express my feelings and opinions.
I'm just trying to understand the mindset. I'm a fighter and I will fight to the bitter end. So that give up mentally is something I truly don't understand. I don't like every move the FO makes and I criticize them myself. But I will never throw in the towel.

I don't like the FO, I don't like some players and they don't know how to build a team. I just don't understand why some say next season is already dead and we've had the worse off season in the NFL. To me, It's illogical to throw in the towel already. Why is it so hard for some to make logical decisions? We all know they're going to be watching the games like the rest of us, so why watch if you think next year is more of the same?

LOL.

A+ for the effort to spin this offseason as a success thus far.

It's simple. The roster right now is less talented than the one that ended the 2021 season. Anyone who argues otherwise is either just a ridiculous homer or a Jones.

Agree, as one publication put it, all of the signings so far are there own players and they are average at best and average don’t win SB.

i hope last season was a fluke…..being one and done in the playoffs to a wildcard team is something I don’t want to see again

‘Throwing in the towel’ is quitting. Walking away. Giving up. Like Rockport did. And he was the biggest rah rah cheerleader in the place.

Take note that all of the people being critical of the team are still here, taking time out of their lives to do so. That’s the opposite of ‘throwing in the towel’.

Not all of us fall in the Pollyanna or Negative Nell buckets. I give them a C+ to a B-. Shedding a couple high priced loafers was a positive move. Schultz’s tagging is questionable but I can live with it

the issue is that there were holes to fill BEFORE a losing some of theses alleged key players so it’s not reasonable to think that they can address it all through free agency.

Each year brings new hope and I understand a lot of our fans being skeptical with the moves made this off-season. Let’s see how the draft and season turns out.
I agree! My remarks are mainly intended for those that are perpetually miserable.

Think you are optimistic about some of those moves.

Getting rid of Cooper and allowing Wilson to walk (two moves I don't have a major problem with) only work if Gallup and Washington are at least equal to the task. Considering Gallup is coming off surgery and may not be ready to start the season, it's hard to believe that will be the case. So it's possible that we'll be forced to us an early-round pick there, taking away from the chance to improve others.

Replacing Gregory with Fowler is a wash at best and probably a downgrade based on Gregory's play before he got hurt. He was consistently getting into the backfield and being disruptive.

Letting go of Zuerlein is fine if we replace him with a kicker who isn't going to miss a lot of chip shots. Right now, we've replaced him with a kicker who hasn't made an NFL roster.

Cutting Collins falls into the same category as the rest of these. The move isn't a bad move IF something is done to either balance it or make the team better. Instead, right now our starting LG is a player who couldn't hold down the spot and keep that "penalty feast" in Williams on the sideline. We could get better there in the draft, but again, we're just treading water by using picks to improve areas that we could improve with fairly cheap FAs.

The horrible offseason isn't because of who Dallas decided to get rid of, it's because the Cowboys have done nothing to get better than they were last season when they were not good enough to get past the first round of the playoffs.

Because we’ve been doing it for 25 plus years.

So you have basically brought back the same guys who couldn't win a playoff game last season while adding nobody who upgrades a position. Win?

Maybe some of that is a bit of hyerbole but I tend to be pragmatic here.

This offseason has not been great. They have certainly seen more talent run off than they brought in. They seem to think the draft will solve all their issues. I think that's a mistake. I don't have a lot of confidence in these guys being able to put a team on the field in 2022 that can get further in the playoffs than the 2021 (if they even make the playoffs).

History is a pretty good indicator here. Jerry has had sole control of player personnel for the last quarter century after the team he and Jimmy built started to fall apart. Over those 25 years, the Cowboys have 3 playoff wins. That's it.

I think people are justified in having doubts about how good a Cowboys team will be heading into a season. They have more justification to think that than those that think the Cowboys are primed for a run.

from where I am standing they are doing all the right things. Getting rid of Collin’s was another great move. Heck didn’t they even resign the pro bowl punter?

Every offseason there are changes, some players move on, some are added. If these are wins on paper when does that show up on the field?
Lol…next year genius and the year after.
