Ah to be complaining about Ramsay’s pay and attitude rather than Zeke’s. What a missed opportunity.

No RB or TE is worth a first round pick. I don’t care who it is. In the long run you’re screwed.

I wouldn't go that far but your overall sentiment has some merit.

If the talent is there, regardless of position, they can help your team.

No one can predict how a healthy draftee will hold up over time. If Zeke were still the same back as he was the first few years, there would be much less complaining about where he was drafted. Unfortunately, he & the O line have taken a step back & it magnifies the situation.

Who knows how it would have played out with Ramsey here. However, I don't think Ramsey would have altered the overall trajectory of the team that was desperate to load up Romo with tools for one last run. Totally understand the Zeke decision despite RB that value that early being low.

Would the trajectory of this team look different with?

Ramsey/Henry
Ramsey/Chris Jones
DeBuckner/Henry
DeBuckner/Xavian Howard

There were some really good players available at 4 and for the Cowboys 2nd round pick.

The way I see it. RB's are disposable.. You can get them rounds 3-5 without a significant drop off. By the time their second contract comes up they are washed up.. Of course their are exceptions but in the first round get difference makers.. DE's. LB's, CB's OT's, QB's These guys are worth 2nd contracts..

Yeah, RB's are a tough one for me because there is definitely some truth to them being disposable & interchangeable. But if you get a dynamic all around player, they are also huge difference makers who generally contribute right away. They can be the catalysts that allow the rest of the unit to function better.

Certainly, you don't have to draft them as high as you once did.

There wasn’t a shred of truth in anything you said. The facts showed a situation that painted the Cowboys in a negative light. And YOU can’t handle it. So you resort to yet another bull**** generalization and blame the fans for daring to expect better.

Nothing you’ve said has a shred of “truth” in it. And don’t try to play some ‘victim’ now when your own comments started it all.

At least hes still here. Can you imagine Ramsey looking at SJ's contract proposal?
It's impossible to know what may have happened.

Stuff like that is quite fascinating. Even more so with fully legal edibles.

For starters we would have had a worse 2016 for certain. End result....same.

Ramsey and Garrett would have clashed. Would have loved to have seen Jerry's move on that one....and probably a big reason why they went Elliott over him in the first place.

It's tough to say we have more success one way vs the other....but I know this....we haven't had much with Elliott.

With Ramsey, we would either have a top corner or have traded him for draft picks. The Jags got two 1s for him....Jerry could have managed at least a 3rd.

Why do you feel 2016 would have been worse?

They went 13-3 with a rookie QB.

As much as I can't stand Elliott, he was a pure stud that year. Playing keep away was done to a perfection....as they did in 14 and was missing in 15 without Murray.

He was such a big part of the team his suspension hung over the head of the entire 17 season.

I'm not sure a better corner would have produced the same result.

But....we are talking 2016 within itself. Long term we are much better off with Ramsey, but then they would have most likely busted a high pick on a RB thereafter.....Jerry loves his triplets and jersey sailers.

At about :40 Mark on…love of Boys

Luck......it matters.
With Zeke and ROMO, this team would have won a SUPERBOWL between 2016-1019.
Seems Jerry sold his soul to the football Gods in 95......

You don’t think they would have then drafted Derrick Henry in round 2?

If they did draft him would he still be a Cowboy? He probably would have demanded a trade here too

Oh man thats tough to say.

I suppose so....yeah, and if they do the result is probably similar.

On one hand it's extreme hindsight, on the other you just don't take that position that high....or even close.

Thing is, back then, they HAD the right idea with running etc given the situation....run grading OL, young QB....and Prescott was able to excel. Then someone (I have my suspicions as to who) decided that Prescott was best used as a featured passer. Add some WRs and voila! That's where things got away....and why pass happy Moore was brought in to supplement vanilla Garrett. We are still there btw lol.

Anyway yeah if they follow Ramsey with Henry, 2016 is probably about the same. Just maybe with Ramsey in the lineup Rodgers doesn't pick apart our unprepared team as badly.

You are the one that keeps whining about it. And of course wrong as usual.
Who is playing the victim, you are. You twist everything around as usual. Then blame the other person. Because you are wrong.

Time to get out of your moms basement, or does she keep you in there for a reason. Yes she does you are proving why she does.

Yeah but they went back on their own word from just two years earlier when Stephen was giving his lame excuses for not keeping Murray.

They then proceeded to screw up everything as badly as possible, from handing the reigns over to the Underwear Thief, to using the 4th overall pick on a running back, to then giving a huge second contract to said running back.

They did everything wrong.

Then someone (I have my suspicions as to who) decided that Prescott was best used as a featured passer. Add some WRs and voila! That's where things got away....and why pass happy Moore was brought in to supplement vanilla Garrett. We are still there btw lol.

We’ve had pass-happy coordinators for decades now. Another great idea. Build a running game fir a pass happy coordinator.

Anyway yeah if they follow Ramsey with Henry, 2016 is probably about the same. Just maybe with Ramsey in the lineup Rodgers doesn't pick apart our unprepared team as badly.

For sure. And we’d instead have King Henry still going strong.

Projection. Your go-to because you don’t have the intelligence for actual debate.
