Are Dak's Problems Mostly Mental or Physical?

Reading some of these posts, some of you are expecting Dak to be perfect. Good luck. To start a post saying he's inaccurate tells me that you really just don't like him since he was 4th in completion % this year. Then to say he's not clutch? He's won more clutch games than he's lost in his career. NO QB in the league has won every clutch game. I've been watching the Cowboys since '77. I've played a lot of football. I've coached some football. Dak is a top 3 Cowboys QB since I've been watching them....not speaking before my time, but since i've watched them. Some of you need to quit speaking on something you clearly don't know or have a clue about just to continue to get the Pro-Dak vs Anti-Dak going. As much as I'm a diehard Cowboys fan, I tell people all the time that Cowboys fans are the worst fans in the league...and this forum never let's me down.

Remember how Zeke accounted for 209 yards of offense and three of the four TD's in that game?

I understand the details might be hard to remember since that game was so long ago.
I brought that up. It was ignored.

If it was an actual "shootout" between Dak and Ben then the Steelers would have won. Ben had over 400 yards passing and 3 TDs that game. Meanwhile, the Steelers had 40 rushing yards.

Our rushing game SURPRISE SURPRISE was the difference.

Unfortunately I think we have a double whammy situation with Dak, i.e., he has both mental and physical problems. On the one hand he has weird mechanics and this results in worm burners and passes sailing over the outstretched arms of receivers. On the other hand, his inaccuracy has clearly affected his confidence, to the point he never attempts difficult passes especially in clutch situations, culminating in that wonderfully comic slide to end last season.
What do the rest of the zoners think?

LMAO so dak sucked while the rest of the team was perfect and man Daks 100% responsible for the slide..smh..many of you are so delusional about that an actual team game is..daks like 4th-5th on the list of issues the cowboys TEAM had down the stretch and for sure in the 9ers game..

BTW this slide this alleged slump was us losing to 5 playoff teams by a GRAND total of 18 points TOTAL..man we are the jets and jags i should have known.my bad
Blue, never said Dak was solely responsible for the slide.
His performance was just the easiest one to identify as falling off.
He clearly was not the same player for whatever reason.
I am sure that their were many factors for the slide, but I do feel he was the major contributor.

I'm sure I speak for the majority of the forum when I say how thankful I am for being blessed with the the presence of such greatness.

The honor and privilege of being able to learn at the knee of such wisdom will never be forgotten.

Nah, dude. He's cleaning your clock with facts.

You ignore the facts he presents & try to act like you somehow were proven right.

If you can't debate, you shouldn't enter into the discussion.
Lmao. Rookie

For what it's worth, Dak and Zeke were clearly not healthy. Someone decided it was okay to let them play.
Same goes for Zuerlein earlier in the season.
Would it have made a difference? Recent history says no.
The RBs really boggle my mind. They knew pretty early on of the injuries. I have no idea why you wouldn't rest them - it's crazy!

Dak is Dak...a 4th round selection. What we fans have been seeing for 6 years coming up on 7...that is who he is.

JJ or his son don't have the wits around them to know that.
So who was Dak the first 7 weeks of the season?

A real head scratcher. Maybe there was a focus on salary bonuses instead of quality of play.
I never wanted to believe the front office or staff would play an injured player. But if salary or the "good old boys club" is the reason Elliott got run into the ground - just wow.

How many times does it have to be explained to you that those 6 games is an outlier (he wasn't even good against the Chargers. The 200 yards rushing is why we won that one)? There are outliers in everything. Ryan Fitzpatrick has a few weeks every year where he looks like the MVP it seems.

Dak has never been as good as he was those 6 games and then he reverted right back to being Dak after those 6 games.

Are you really convinced that Dak is closer to the QB that played those first 6 games and not the QB that played the other 79 games of his career or are you just trolling?

Part of Jerry's 'Win Now' philosophy - a history of rushing players back from injury. Damn the torpedoes and hope for the best.
Of course, I surmise a fair number of seriously injured NFL players come back earlier than warranted. A lot play with minor injuries.
Hasn't worked out very well for Dallas recently.

Dak's problem is that he is whittling his career away in an organization that isn't dedicated to winning. He made the same mistake Romo made.
