Secondary help is not high on the list. The number 1 thing we need because we hVe yet to address is LG and NT. However Wr will be important if you've ever seen Dak play. Lamb and washingt9n and brow And semi will not work. Gallup probably wint even be available until week 5 so yea WR is high on the Needs list. Lb is deep as well as dline. Wr and oline so the best plYer there at 24 just take him

Well, I am expecting them to draft a WR in the 3rd. I just wouldn't expect one earlier. But who knows?

Not sure when some of you will realize it's not who we have at WR corps, but how Moore utilizes them. Stop giving the guy a continuous pass. He's been exposed several times, including the last game vs 49ers. Wake up!

How do you explain Cooper not getting the most targets from our elite qb Dak?

# NAME TEAM POS TGT RZ TGT SNAP REC RZ REC CTCH RATE YD TD PTS OS
1 CeeDee Lamb DAL WR 125(9-5-4-2) 847 80 64% 1123 6 156
2 Amari Cooper DAL WR 113(5-11-7-7) 833 74 65% 929 9 147
3 Dalton Schultz DAL TE 112(8-9-10-3) 1019 85 76% 897 8 140

I would say that it's due to the system that uses him as a decoy rather than a goto target.

I would have gone after Oj Howard and I think Schultz could be a Witten type TE so I’m good with him. I’m still upset about getting nothing for Cooper and giving Gallup a big contract. James Washington is a good player so no gripes there. Lamb has shown nothing so far and so this is the year to find out about him. Dak is supposed to be a superstar so let’s see what he can get going. I think at the end of the day I’d like to see Dallas run the ball and play defense so I’m not that worried about the WRs.

I would do what they will do. Add in the draft and upgrade the position. I would draft 2 out of these 5: Jeremy Ruckert, Jake Ferguson, Cade Otton, Jelani Woods, and Charlie Kolar.

Howard? Why? He's been a complete bust for 5 years.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
------Noah was a great deal for us. Core special teamer, competent NFL veteran WR, and can block, all for vet minimum.

:facepalm::facepalm: Name one big time game changing play he EVER made for us.....I'll hang out here all weekend waiting.
He might have made at least ONE.....if Dak had just thrown it to him instead of (get this) low and behind.

Am I alone here? While I was in favor of letting Cooper go, I was not in favor of paying 11M for a Tweener TE while Buffalo signed OJ Howard for 3M....letting our best route runner left on the team walk off to Miami for a salary that was very workable....resigning Noah Brown for a SIXTH season of sucking...but, but, but, he can block....sorry, I forgot. I'm guessing Turner didn't have the goods on Booger like Brown does. Wasting money on James Washington, when you could have signed Allen Robinson. Sorry, but Cee Dee is a #2 at best, and Gallup is a #2 on a great day....both CANNOT be depended on to show up every week...Schultz cannot be depended on to do anything but pick up 7-8 yards in soft zones, and provide Duk Pratfall some security when panicked. These receivers are going to really expose Duk, and make us long for the days of Tony...a 3-5 road record looks like a pipe dream....9-8 overall. The sad thing, is that it didn't have to be like this....Deez Nutz to both Booger and Chuckles....when is someone in the media going to seriously challenge them face to face about the last 26 years? What gutless media we have!!!
The problem is not the receivers . What did we do against the 49ers with a top receiving group on the roster? (.Cee Dee, Amari etc), 7 points and 160 yards going into the 4th quarter, and the typical empty comeback attempt yards and the loss.
Dak is not that good in reading defenses or buying time in the pocket , or rushing . The RB is almost non-existent (31 yards all game !!) , and a waning OL.

Schultz is just a mediocre 1st and 2nd down te that is a product of a Weak division and a checkdown passing scheme with a great wr core around him (that was drawing all of the coverage)

Peeps will argue that he's better than Gronk, Cook, and Howard based upon stats but you throw them 40-50 rinky dink wide open checkdown passes a year and they would put up better numbers than schultz. LMAO

He only scored 2 tds in 11 non divisional games and went a span of 9 games with only 1 TD. He wasn't drawing any top cover guys.

Plus he made zero gamechanging plays when it mattered.

He's better than old man Witten and Swaim but not by alot and he's certainly not a Te that is gonna make an impact in the W/L Column.

I'll give him kudos for playing all of those Snapcounts and staying healthy like #82 but I'd rather have a Te that can go up and get a ball and make a gamechanging play who can score against good teams.

I'd take a jumper and deep threat te like Cook over Schultz any day. At least he can make some plays WHEN IT MATTERS.

This is what you call a low football iq post. Don’t be like this guy.

We had 14 tds leave the roster with Cooper and Wilson gone. Not to mention Jarwins 2 Tds.

That's 16 tds total.

Guys just don't step up against better defenders and make up for 16 tds.

Anybody who thinks so is drinking some serious Koolaide.

That oline isn't gonna score any points. Zeke is avg about 8 tds a year and he's not gonna morph into a 16 TD a year RB.

Best thing we can do is Draft the best red zone te we can get. A guy whose ceiling isn't beneath schultz.

I'd still grab a guy like Cook. We need competition at the te position. Schultz isn't gonna show anybody how to go up and get a ball. Sorry

Umm yes round 1 and round 2

We know they're not picking one in round 1, right? Otherwise we probably trade for DK Metcalf. I think there is a slight possibility we pick one in the 2nd. I think that's going to depend a lot on who's left. I'd bet on the 3rd round if I still did that sort of thing.
